Guidance notes: Select your tyre size on the chart and note the overall diameter (OD) - As a rule of thumb to avoid putting out speedometer
calibrations when converting tyres do not increase the overall diameter by more than 1.5% or decrease by 2%. This calculation must be taken
from the tyre size fitted originally by the vehicle manufacturer.
Basic rules when converting tyre sizes:
• Ensure there will be no bodywork or mechanical contact. Allow space for snow chains if required
• Don't reduce the vehicle manufacturers specified tyre's load and speed rating
• It is the responsibility of the person carrying out the work to ensure the vehicle remains safe
