Alden’s Quality Assurance Program
in a two-page article. Alden’s shortterm rehabilitation and health care

“We are always looking at ways we

Nursing Student Lauren Pauling thanks the Alden
facilities in Bloomingdale for awarding her a $1,000
scholarship toward her studies at Bradley University this
fall. Alden was one of several businesses to partner with
the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce in providing
scholarships to local college students. Jo Petruncio,
director of business development for Alden, joined
Lauren at a Scholarship Breakfast on June 12, which recognized the shortterm rehabilitation center and other businesses for their contributions.
Lakeview Food Pantry Welcomes
New Faces
Staff from Alden Lincoln Park in
Chicago recently spent an afternoon at
the Lakeview Food Pantry unpacking
boxes of food as well as sorting
and stocking. After meeting Carrie
McCormack, Lakeview Pantry West coordinator, and learning about the
Food Pantry’s mission, Alden Lincoln Park Administrator Allison Pease
immediately committed to an ‘Alden Day’ at the pantry. The Lakeview Food
Pantry distributes 1.5 millions pounds of food per year. Alden Lincoln Park,
which specializes in short-term rehabilitation, is just blocks away from one
of the Pantry’s two locations.

Staff at Alden Des Plaines celebrate being recognized as “the best” by U.S. News & and World Report.
Our incredible teams provide exceptional patient care, and deliver the Alden
difference. It’s truly a group effort. Everyone – from our nurses and therapists
to dietitians and housekeepers – are extraordinary at meeting patients’ needs.
The individuals who maintain these award-winning facilities work tirelessly to
ensure our properties are clean and inviting. The amazing food prepared by
our chefs helps our patients focus on getting better and back home as quickly
and safely as possible.
Though the reward is an annual event, the hard work that earned it takes place
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We salute all those dedicated to continuing our
long-standing tradition of remarkable care and customer service.
While it’s an honor to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report, the truly
heartfelt reward is being recognized by our customers for improving their
quality of life.
