VisionPetronisacompetitionforpainters,photographers,designers,andfilmmakers.Open
toallFilipinocollegestudentsandstudentsofatutorialforpainting,photography,t-shirtart
design,orvideo-makingclass.Agelimitis16-28yearsoldonly.
CATEGORIES - Allentriesmustbebasedonthetheme.
1. PAINTING
a. WATERCOLOR / WATER-BASED MEDIA

• Artworkmustnotbemorethan48x48inches(unframed).
b. OIL /ACRYLIC

2. COLORED PHOTOGRAPHY
• Thesizeofthephotographmustnotbesmallerthan8in.x10in.andmustnotexceed
10in.x15in.(unframed).

AllentriesmustbeoriginalandmusthavebeenphotographedafterJune21,2014.Theymustnot
havebeenpreviouslyexhibitedorawardedaprizeinanothercontest,corrected,ormanipulatedin
anypostproductionactivity.Entrantsmustdeclarethetypeofcameraused.Filtersmaybeused.
3. T-SHIRT ART DESIGN CATEGORY
• Useofanytechnique(silkscreenprinting,handpainting,quilting,mixedmedia,appliqués,tiedye,
distress,etc)isallowedfortheexecutionofthedesign.
• Entriesmustbeexecutedforawhiteshirt(roundneckandshortsleeves).
• Forgraphicdesignentries,onlyJPEGimagesinRGBformat(andNOTCMYK)willbeaccepted.
Allimagesmustbehi-resolutionvectorimages.GraphicfilesmustbegiveninaCD(when applicable)withtheactualshirtsubmission.
• Thedesignmustbeyourownoriginalunpublishedworkandmustnotcontainanythird-party
logos,trademarksorcopyrightmaterial.Plagiarizeddesignsareautomaticallydisqualified.

Opentoindividualstudentsorgroup(maxof3),whereintheteamleaderwilllistthenamesofthe
teammembersonandtheirroleintheproduction.
Weencouragestudentstobeoriginalandcreativeintheirentries,yetinformative.Thevideocan
bestagedasshortplay,commercial,newsbroadcast,talkshow,musicvideo,documentary,etc.
Videosmustevolvearoundpositivevaluesrelatedtothetheme.
Videosarelimitedtoamaximumof3-5minutesandmusthavebeensolelyeditedbythe
individualorgroup.Ateamcanproduce/enteronlyonevideo.Inaddition,thestudentsproducing
avideomustallbefromthesameschool.
SubmissionmustbeinCDwithnameandtitleofentry.PetronisnotresponsibleifCDwillnotplay
duringscreening.
Noprofessionalassistancecanbeprovidedtoproducethisvideoinanymanner.
Weencouragethestudenttouseoforiginalscoringorrequestofroyalty-freemusictoavoidany
copyrightinfringements.
Studentsshouldacknowledgeanyuseoflyrics,music,videoclips,quotesetc.fromanother
sourcesuchassong,movie,TVshow,book,etc.,inthecreditsattheendofthevideo.
AlthoughwepromotetheuseofFilipinointhevideohoweverweareopentoanyindigenous
dialectalthoughitshouldbesubtitledinFilipinoforgeneralunderstanding.

Studentsareresponsibletoprovidetheirownequipment(inmostcases,toborrowtheschools’
equipmentintheirpersonalcapacity)toproducethisvideo.Theyshouldhandlepermitsandother
relatedmatter.Alsostudentswillberesponsibleforallwaiversforalltalentstheywilluseand
permitsinthelocationstheywillbeshooting.PetronCorporationisnotliabletoanyuntoward
incidentorlegaldisputethatmayresultfromtheproductionofvideo.
Allvideosmustnothavebeenshowninanymediumoranyonlinesite.Videoresolutionmusteither
be1920x1080or1280x720andmustbeinwmv,mpegormp4format.
Theinformation,factsandfiguresthatappearinthevideomustberesearchedbythestudentsand
asourcereferencesheetmustbeturnedinwiththevideocitingallsourcesfromwhichtheteam
foundtheirinformationonthetheme.
Ifastudentplanstoappearinthevideoandisundertheageof18,aparent/guardianisrequiredto
submitaVideoPermissionletter.Allpermissionlettersmustbesentinwiththeentry.Studentswho
areundertheageof18anddonotappearinthevideo,butarepartoftheteam,arenotrequiredto
havethisformcompleted.
AllvideosmusthavebeenproducedafterJune21,2014.Non-disclosureofsourcecouldresultin
disqualification.PetronCorporationwillretainownershipofallcopiessubmitted.Itistheentrants’
responsibilitytokeeptheoriginalcopyofthework.OriginalcopieswillalsobePetronCorporation
propertyoncesubmitted.
AllwinningvideoswillbeanaddedfeatureonthePetron2015WallCalendarthroughaQR/ARcode.
TERMS AND CONDITION
Byindicatingyouracceptance,youunderstand,agree,warrantandcovenantasfollows:
1. OpentoallFilipinocollegestudentsandstudentsofatutorialclass.Ageislimitedto16-28yearsoldonly.
2. Participantscanonlysubmitanoriginalandexclusivecreation,oneentrypercategoryforPainting
andVideo-making.ParticipantscansubmitunlimitednumberofentriesforthePhotographyand
T-ShirtArtDesignCategory.
3. PetronCorporationisauthorizedtosellandnegotiateforthebestpriceofnon-winningartworkfor
participant’sartworks.Onlyaftertheexhibitioncannon-winningartworksberetrievedbytheartist/
photographersorhis/herauthorizedrepresentativefromtheauthorizedvenue(tobeannounced).
ArtworksnotretrievedafterNovember30,2014willbecomethepropertyofPetronCorporation.As
regardstothosepickingupartworksatthebulkplants,awrittendocumentisneededtoformalize
therequest.AlllettersmustbepostmarkedbetweenOctober1toNovember30,2014.Ano-request,
nopickuppolicywillbestrictlyimplemented
4. Allwinningartworks/photographs/t-shirts/videosbecomethepropertyofPetronCorporationand
maybeusedbyPetronCorporationforanyandalllegalpurposes,whichincludesbutnotlimitedto
massproductionforcorporategiveawaysorshowninanyPetroncorporateevent.
5. Two-timeGrandPrizewinnersofpreviousPetronStudentArtCompetitionsaredisqualifiedfromjoining.
6. EmployeesofPetronCorporationandStudio5Designs,Inc.,includingtheirrelativesuptothe
seconddegreeofconsanguinityand/oraffinityaredisqualifiedfromjoiningthecontest.
7. AlldecisionsoftheBoardofJudgesshallbefinalandcannotbeappealed.
8. PetronCorporationreservestherighttotakelegalactionagainstparticipantswhoseentries
areplagiarized(whetherinpartorinfull)andarenottheiroriginalwork.Schoolsoftheseerring
participantswillbeimmediatelyinformed.
