CELEBRATING WAIMEA’S 51ST ANNUAL
CHRISTMAS PARADE & LOKAHI GIVING TREE PROJECT!
Christmases Past in Waimea are fondly remembered for extremely chilly nights and the incredible generosity
of Parker Ranch owner Richard Smart, who made sure everyone was remembered. To perpetuate this legacy,
the community’s legendary parade and Lokahi Giving Tree Project help assure that no one gets left behind.
Emcee Darde Gamayo, caroling with
Ginger Bertelmann, Melissa Samura and
Parker School students plus music by
“Makeshift Heroes” from Honoka’a Jazz
Band, and stories by Leningrad Elarionoff about Waimea Christmases Past!

welcome.
Waimea’s famous parade features Santa,
churches, clubs, youth and dozens
of lighted trucks! Grand Marshalls are

us to how precious every child is and
how many face huge obstacles.
