Introductory Seminar Week (ISW), which follows TIP Camp,
is designed to help you get further information on courses
you have pre-registered and all other available first year
courses by attending introductory lectures and meeting
with professors. On the “Clubs and Student Organizations”
day you will have an opportunity to learn about all the clubs
and groups we have at Trent. Colleges will run
various activities and social events so students can get to
know each other and have fun.
One of the things I liked most about Trent was the
academia. I was thrilled at the freedom I had in planning
my own education, I was not limited by having to choose a
single major but could combine several choices. Moreover,
I was delighted to find out that my classes would not be
impersonal as in other universities but that I would have
close contact with all my professors through seminar discussions. They say that at Trent professors are readily
available and especially approachable; that class sizes are
small and your professors will know you by name. This
could not be more accurate!
