11-1-05 Hello Everyone,
I want to take a minute and tell you about my latest
adventure. I just return¬ed Sunday evening from
Iceland where I taught a day of master classes with
Darrin Henson of Darrin's Dance Grooves. The
classes were held in a huge facility that's over
500,000 square feet-that's over 142 times bigger than
our studio! The place was gigantic!
I was in the city of Reykjavick (see pictures). The
country is beautiful and the people are gracious
and kind. The common language there is Icelandic
but everyone speaks English as a second language.
The dancers were fantastic and well trained. They
really threw down in class. I was impressed.
While I was there I was able to visit the Blue Lagoon;
people travel from all over the world to experience
its wonder. The Blue Lagoon is a large mass of water
that is a hot spring but the water is Geo-Thermally
heated which means it has many ingredients
including salts that are great for your body. While
you roam in the massive lake there are containers of
natural clay also full of healthy nutrients that you
rub all over your face and neck it was awesome.
The students had such a great experience they
have asked Darrin and myself to come back next
summer. It was great working with Darrin and he
is very excited to come to our studio this month.
