Rodef Shalom Congregation
Services will be held on Saturday and
Sunday mornings at 11 o'clock. Rabbi
Louis Wolsey of the Eodef Shalom Con­
gregation, Philadelphia, will occupy the
pulpit on Sunday morning and will speak
on "Praying for the Jews' Conversion".
Rabbi Wolsey is known as a profound
scholar and a brilliant speaker and mem­
bers of the congregation should avail
themselves of this opportunity to hear
him.
Wednesday Morning Class
The class in. "The Meaning of Relig­
ion", conducted by Dr. Goldenson, has
been discontinued for the remainder of
the season. In previous years the class
met until the last week in March, but
because of the fact that Dr. Goldenson
will not be in the city for the next few
weeks, it has been decided to close the
season a little earlier this year.
Boohlovers' Forum
More than one hundred and fifty peo­
ple attended the session of the Booklovers'
Mr. M. Lester
Forum last Sunday.
Aaron gave a scholarly and stimulating
review of Lewis Browne's "This Believ­
ing World", which was followed by a
lively discussion from the floor. The
• meeting was ably presided • over by Mr.
Louis J. Bloch.
The next meeting of the Booklovers'
Forum will take place on Sunday, March
27th, when Dr. Joseph T. Blickensderfer,
assistant professor of English at the
University of Pittsburgh, will lead in an
examination and evaluation of H. L.
Mencken's "Notes on Democracy".
Brotherhood Smoker
The Joint Brotherhood Smoker, which
is being given by the Men's Society of
the Temple in compliment to similar or­
ganizations connected with the other Jew­
ish congregations of Pittsburgh and McKeesport, promises to be a most enjoy­
able affair. Among other entertainment
features will be the delightful skit en­
titled "A Quiet Hour in the Rabbi's
Study", which was written by Mr. Louis
N. Browdy and presented with such sig­
nal success by the Temple Players at
the alumni banquet last November. All
men of the Temple are cordially invited
to attend the smoker, which will be held
in the assembly room of the Temple Tues­
day evening, March loth, at S o'clock.
Mr. Isadqr W. Jacobs, the chairman of
the committee in charge, assures all who
come an evening of pleasure and profit.

Entertain Children
The pupils of the religious school take

Jewish Education for the invitation ex­

tainment at the Y. M. & AV. H. A. on
Sunday afternoon, March 20th, at 2:30

man Abramovitz, of Montreal. Canada,
and president of the United Synagogue,
will deliver a lecture in the "Y" audi­
torium on the subject, "Judaism in
America". The Tree of Life Choir and
Cantor Julius Bloom will render a musi­
cal program. Dr. Abramovitz is a fine
orator and has a most interesting per­
sonality, and it is hoped that B'nai Is­
rael will be well represented at the meet­
ing.
All arrangements are complete for the
congregational dinner to be held in the
social hall on Sunday evening. March
