DRINK ADRIA for BeCer Water Management
DRINK ADRIA for Be-er Water Management Istarski vodovod d.o.o. Buzet Nova Gorica, May, 2015 HOW IS OUR SYSTEM MANAGED •  5 Operating units
•  129 DMA zones
•  607 water meters
covering all zones
and sub-zones
PILOT PROJECT -‐ INVESTMENTS IN THE DRINK ADRIA PROJECT PROCUREMENT
•  344 Ultrasonic water meters
•  329 Telemetry devices
•  10 Pressure gauges
•  AMR control computer programme
CONNECTING AND COMMISSIONING
•  System connected(SCADA i AMRcontrol). Joint layout of 344 Ultrasonic
water meters from the project and 263 water meters from the SCADA
system
•  Education and training for targeted staff

Measuring post Water losses tracking -‐ before and now Before Now 129 Daily consump1on tracking Daily 152 Weekly consump1on tracking Daily 180 Fortnight consump1on tracking Daily 146 Monthly consump1on tracking Daily Key parameters for system tracking 1.  Daily consumption(24 hours)
2.  Consumption the day before (48 hours)
3.  Comparison (over, under - realised in %) last two days
4.  Minimal night consumption
5.  Consumption within zones (no consumers)
6.  Alarms
7.  Vehicle cost for delivering the monthly reports
8.  Cost of plumber for monthly readings
9.  Leakage detection
10. Leakage repair
11. Feedback on leakage and/or other breakage
ReorganisaGon of the leakage surveillance system •  The pilot project brought to a-enLon the flaws in the system of surveillance and certain important decisions were made:
•  Key parameters for future surveillance were definetly
•  The process of system surveillance and leakage repairs was redefined
•  Our own overall application for informing and evidence of leakage repairs agreed
and launched
•  Three-month report period on noted and repaired was defined

Future steps •
•
•
•
•
Updating of the existing the GIS base (pipes position, types of pipes, profiles, materials…)
Zoning: (129 zones) division to smaller zones according to implemented water meters
Introducing the management of losses according to IWA methodology or the ILI indicator
Analysis of leakage/breakages
Pressure adjustments in the critical zones (according to ILI indicators)
Thanks for your a-enLon!
