Homecoming is this Sunday
and it is always such a
precious time of fellowship,
celebration and seeing former
members again. We have
some former ministers that
will be speaking: Paul Smith,
Charles Griffith, and Cecil
Taylor, and I know that it will
be a blessed time. Don't
forget that this is also the
time when we take up a
special building fund offering
– pray about what God
would have you give. I want
to thank the church for
allowing me to be involved
with the North American
Mission Board as we launch
the new internet evangelism
system through the
Evangelism Response Center.
I appreciate Greg preaching
in my absence last Sunday. I
hear he did an outstanding
job! I believe what the ERC is
doing can have far reaching
results for the Kingdom of
God. We are attempting to
have churches all over the
country to include “chat
buttons” on their websites
where someone viewing their
site can click to “chat” with a
live person who can share
Christ with them or help
them with any other spiritual
problems they may have.
There is no telling how many
lives may be affected through
this ministry. By the way, we
already have the chat button
on our church website so
you can see what we are
doing. (also bottom left of
this page) Mobile Baptist
Association will be hosting
training for those who would
like to be chat operators. It is
scheduled for Tuesday
October 18th from 10amNoon or a second session
available from 6-8pm. I will
be the instructor. If you are
interested, please contact the
church office. We are about
to get into our busiest time
of the year with the holiday
season approaching and there
is always the hustle of getting
everything done. Let us keep
in mind the reason for the
season and not get lost in the
busyness. I am so excited
about our “Trunk-or-Treat”
this year. We are cooperating
with all the Citronelle
churches to have one big
giant “Trunk-or-Treat” up on
Main Street on Halloween
night. We will have a
Christian band playing and we
will have Christian tracts and
literature about our churches
to pass out. Wouldn't it be
wonderful if we had the
biggest “Trunk-or-Treat”
anyone had ever seen? We
can if YOU will get involved.
Please don't expect everyone
else to do it. This is a fun
time with not a lot of work,
but can be a time that God
uses for His glory on the
Devil's holiday, but it's up to
us. I have been challenged
lately to get a much bigger
vision of what God is up to
than I usually do. God is much
more concerned with people
whose lives are wrapped up
all on themselves and give
Him no thought — people
who are lost and hopeless people who are convinced
that God's ways somehow
limit them rather than free
them — than He is with us
whether we are comfortable
as we sit in our pews,
whether the sermon is too
long or if it is too loud or too
hot! If we gave as much
thought to convincing people
how much God loves them as
we do to our own comforts,
we would win Citronelle in
no time! The problem is that
the things that are important
to God are not the things that
are most important to us. I
challenge you to do as I have
to do often, evaluate what
you spend most of your time
thinking about – where your
affections lie... and ask
yourself, “Would God be
pleased with what I think
about most often and am I
affectionate about the things
of God?”
God
bless
you,
Bro.

God’s love and support never changes. From the cradle to the grave, God has promised to
give you strength to meet any challenge. God has promised to lift you up and guide your
steps if you let him. “God’s hand uplifts those who turn their hearts and prayers to

Hello FBC!
.
It’s that time again Fall is in the air. It’s also one of the most opportune times to minister to people with the holidays
approaching so are the emotions that come along with them lonliness, stress, financial obligations and depression to
name a few. This is a time where we can help show people what they truly need—not more stuff not more of us
but Jesus. When we will take time out of our busy schedules to stop and remember others, we can begin to reach
people for Christ. So… take time to slow down and remember to tell someone about Jesus. You just might be the
only hope of knowing their Savior!
In Christ - Rev. Greg Hrinsin, Pastor of Students and Children
