Single Gallonage Nozzles




Flows rated capacity at specified
Nozzle pressure (usually 100psi).
Will flow more or less depending on
actually nozzle pressure.
If supplied with more than its
operating pressure, volume will
increase but nozzle reaction will also
increase and stream will begin to
break up.

Low Pressure
Nozzle.
 Chief series 75
psi NP = 150
gpm.
 Single/constant
gallonage nozzle.

Elkhart 4000-14

Pressure and
gallonage
rating is
stamped on
the nozzle
(150
gpm@75psi).





Can get more GPM with increased
pressure.
75 psi NP = 150 gpm
100 psi NP = 170 gpm
Fixed gallonage nozzles have a
disproportionate increase in nozzle
reaction for increased pressure/GPM.
Adjustable Gallonage Fog Nozzles
Similar in design to the single
gallonage nozzle.
 Selector Ring allows
firefighter to select flow.
 Usually 95 - 200 GPM range
for 1 3/4” lines.
