Welcome to the July - September
Over 60’s “Happy & Healthy 60+

Many of our sessions featured in this

work on similar projects.
Our interactive summer programme
encourages wellbeing through fitness classes,
skills based projects, social gatherings and
information sessions on healthy living. This
programme features a wide-range of summer
activities suitable for over 60’s within the
Hounslow community.
These activities give over 60’s the
opportunity to meet new friends while
learning new skills and taking part in fun
activities.
We offer wellbeing sessions which promote
healthy living, exercise and financial
management. Our physical activities include
swimming, aerobics, yoga and bowls.
The over 60’s community will be given the
opportunity to take part in a mosaic arts and
crafts project to benefit the community.
Over 60’s will be given the opportunity to
take part in a mosaic arts and crafts project
to benefit the local community.
Wherever possible we engage in
intergenerational projects, working with
local schools and youth groups.
Through our intergenerational work we
bring people of different ages together
to increase awareness and understanding
between the generations leading to improved
communication, mutual understanding and
respect.
Many activities are offered at a low
affordable price, through loyalty cards and
“first time” incentives. Happy & Healthy

‘Quality treatment from a local practitioner with over 20 years experience’.
My name is Moira and I am a highly experienced Massage Therapist.
I have been working with the older age group for many years, who
I feel is often overlooked by other therapists, and yet arguably need
the healing power of touch even more. This is a time when chronic
conditions may be established, aches and pains may manifest and
budgets more restricted. I aim to offer high quality treatments at an
accessible price for those wishing to help themselves.
Each treatment is targeted to your needs. “My clients have recently
rated my level of professionalism, understanding of ailments and
treatments extremely highly.”
I am based at Edward Pauling House which has a dedicated and purpose built room at

Group leader volunteering opportunitiesAre you over 18 and looking to get more involved with your local community?
Do you enjoy working with older people?
The London Borough of Hounslow is offering you the opportunity to help to contribute to
active, educational and fun programmes for people over 60. We run weekly sessions and are
looking for enthusiastic volunteers to become group leaders. This is a great opportunity to
learn new skills, give back to your community and add to your CV.
What does this entail?
• helping organise and supervise session activities
(with help from other dedicated volunteers);
• ensuring the group is run in accordance to the aims and principles of our
Happy & Healthy 60 + Activity Programme

this role will require volunteers to dedicate 1-2 hrs per week.
