information to be shared.
House Athletics
A reminder that our House Athletics are on Monday 2nd March at Boardman Stadium. Children will be
required to bring along their lunch and plenty of drinks. Where we encourage children to wear house
colours, we insist that children continue to be Sun Smart. Ie; no singlets and compulsory wearing of hats.
Children are also encouraged to bring along sunscreen. Hopefully good weather will prevail for a great
day out.
District Swimming Sports
The Twilight Swimming Sports are this evening at the Sunbury Aquatic Centre. We wish our competing
students all the best as they represent our school at this next level.
School Review
This year, our school will be undertaking it’s school self evaluation and review in preparation for the
development of our next Strategic Plan, which will determine our priorities and directions for the next

four years. During Parent / Teacher Interviews, I will be roaming around, inviting parents to take part in
an informal survey so that we can begin to build some contextual understanding of our school
community’s needs and perspectives. It would be greatly appreciated if parents could spend a few
moments completing the few questions on the form.
Dogs in School Yard
For safety reasons we have a policy which excludes all dogs from the school grounds. This includes dogs
which are muzzled or on a leash. Should you wish to walk your pet while you are collecting children from
school please make arrangements to wait for your children outside the school grounds.
Special arrangements however, can be made with teachers to have dogs and other animals visit classrooms
for special occasions such as the arrival of a new puppy. In these circumstances, please contact the
classroom teacher concerned so that specific supervised arrangements can be made. Thanks for your
assistance with this.

Grade 3/4’s learn to play the Recorder in class….
Yesterday was my first time ever learning the recorder with Mrs Lardner. First we had to do a little
tune. It sounds like someone is whistling and it looks like a stick. Jada Hall 3/4T
I enjoyed it but at the same time it was a little bit tricky. I wasn’t very good at moving my fingers or blowing. But I think I will be better
later in the year. Brooke Leatham 3/4T
I can’t wait until I can read music then I can read music for my piano at home. Stasia Bradbury 3/4T
I’ve never seen a recorder before. I like the sound. It is the best sound I have ever heard. Brock O’Brien 3/4T
In the future I hope to get better and perform at Monday assembly so everyone can see how good the recorder is. Jalen Fasham 3/4T
