PICNICING
We welcome group events such as family reunions and corporate
picnics. We offer one picnic pavilion and three picnic areas. Picnic
tables are available throughout the day-use area and do not require
reservations.

Welcome to VALENS LAKE
Valens Lake Conservation Area offers the look and feel of the
“North”, right in your backyard. Easily accessible from Hamilton,
Cambridge, Burlington and Guelph. Home to a man-made
reservoir, Valens Lake is a great place to visit for the day or for a
week. Spend some time in the great outdoors and discover why
Valens Lake has been an oasis for outdoor lovers since it first
opened in 1968.
FISHING
Valens Lake has Northern Pike, Largemoth Bass, and panfish. Bait is
available for purchase in season. In the spirit of conservation, Valens
Lake promotes catch and release. The fishery is regulated by the
Ministry of Natural Resources.
BOATING
CAMPING
Valens Lake offers 225 campsites, including 125 sites with
electrical and water hookups, and group areas. Campsites offer
lake views and forest covered areas, radio free zones and is
alcohol free year round. Up to six people are permitted per
campsite. Check-in is at 2 p.m. and check out is before 1 p.m.
Reservations are recommended.
Our campground store is open during the summer and
weekends Labour Day to Thanksgiving. Firewood, ice and
camping supplies are available.
Inquire at the gatehouse or beach store for rentals. There is a part day
and full day rate and a deposit is required. Gas powered motors are
not permitted.
SWIMMING
The beach area offers the
perfect spot for swimming.
Water is tested weekly during
the summer. Our beach store
offers beach toys and picnic
supplies. There are no lifeguards
on duty.
Adults, children are your
responsibility.
Quiet Hours: 10:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No excessive noise is permitted at any time.
Alcohol is not permitted at any time.
