These ‘mingei’ or handcrafts are made by
‘The Carnation Club’ of Iitate, Japan-a town
that was forced to evacuate due to their
proximity to the Fukushima nuclear power
plant. Proceeds from the sale of these go
directly to this village.

and Jackson St! You will find the official Nikkei Matsuri t-shirts, caps and
eco bags for sale, and learn more about the Madei Project and how
these craft items are helping a village in Japan.
