Improvements to Our Referral Program for 2013
New $500 Gift Card & Donations to Local Charity
From Brian’s Desk
Your referrals mean the world to us and we work hard to earn them with great service every day. As our way of saying thank you for this business, in 2011 we kicked off our referral
program. Since then we have insured dozens of new customers from your referrals. Thank
you! We really appreciate the vote of confidence.
It’s Christmas-time. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
There’s Christmas trees and Santa. Reindeer and classic
TV Christmas shows. Nativity scenes and street lights.
Parades. Holiday parties. Gifts. Champagne. Years of
tradition. What’s not to like?
This is how the program has worked in the past. If you referred someone to Pacific Insurance Partners, we sent you
a $10 Fred Meyer Gift Card as a “thank you.” This year, however, we are making a significant change. Not only will
we send you the $10 gift card, we will also make a $10 donation to a designated charity.
For the first quarter of 2013 those donations will go to Neil Armstrong Middle School to help pay for field trips and
other unfunded programs. I have been so impressed with how hard administrators, counselors and teachers have
been working to improve that school and give kids a great education — we want to do what we can to help.
Additionally, you are entered into our monthly and annual prize drawings: Monthly, each referral you give us equals
one entry for a $50 Chevron card. Annually, each referral you give us equals one entry for our Grand Prize drawing,
the last week of December, for a $500 gift card. The $500 gift card is new. In 2011 it was a flat screen TV and in
2012 the Grand Prize was an iPad 3. We figured you would rather have the cash.
So that’s it. Give it a try and do some good for our community while you’re at it!
Thanks, -Brian
Well, I suppose there IS a little over-commercialization, but this is America,
right? And I’m OK with that— it’s way better than election season.
So what are your holiday traditions? Do you make Christmas cookies? Do
you open your gifts Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Do you go out of town
or do you hunker down in front of a fire at home? I have to know!
PRETTY PLEASE?
Do we have your e-mail address and
current phone number? If not,
please contact us so we can update
your records. We will never spam
you, we just want to have a quick,
easy way to stay in touch with you.
So we are having a Holiday photo contest. Go on to our Facebook page and
post a picture of your favorite holiday tradition. It can be anything that
makes your holiday tradition special — just keep it clean!
We will chose a winner at the end of the month and send that person a $50
gift card. Have fun and good luck!

As many of you know I am a big fan of Vietnamese food. I love pho and bun and
really just about anything Vietnamese.
Occupant
Our client Tammy Jo, who owns Lucky Foods in Beaverton, has been making
Vietnamese spring rolls or “Chả giò” since 1980. In fact, her Vietnamese vegetarian spring roll recipe has been passed down for three generations. Each spring
roll is delicately hand rolled and the shell is light and crispy and filled with fresh vegetables: cabbage, carrots, onions, and
green peas – mixed with bean thread, organic tofu, and her special seasoning. They are DELICIOUS!
In addition to making spring rolls, Lucky Foods also produces: potato rolls, pot stickers and kim chi. They are all delicious, but her kim chi is exceptional. Kim chi is the national dish of Korea
and Tammy’s is made from fermented Napa cabbage and seasonings. Kim
chi is also incredibly healthy and it recently made Health magazine’s Top 5
Healthiest Foods list. A whole 28 oz. jar has only 140 calories and is chock
full of Vitamin C, fiber and other essential minerals and nutrients.
You can find all of Lucky Foods products at Whole Foods, Fred Meyer and
Safeway. So if you’re looking for some different holiday snacks or just
something healthy to snack on, search no further!

Who Won the PIP Facebook $500 Sweepstakes?
And the Winner of the PIP Referral Contest iPad is….?
Chris Ohlgren!!
Dan Klump!
Congratulations, Chris. We had several dozen entries and so many wonderful reviews.
Thank you all for taking the time to post on Sheila’s wall and to let her know how much she
means to you. I wish you all could have won!
Congratulations, Dan, and thanks to all of you that referred
your friends, family and co-workers to us over this past year.
We have given away thousands of dollars in gift cards and prizes and we were happy to do it.
Below is a sampling of some of the great reviews Sheila received:
” I have to say that I am very happy for having switched to Pacific Insurance Partners. All of our insurance
needs are covered through PIP, and from Auto to Homeowner/Business Owner to Life, we've been treated like family
every step of the way. Last minute walk in changes are no problem; phone calls are returned almost immediately, and
the office atmosphere is always casual yet professional. I very much recommend Sheila and Pacific Insurance Partners.”
-Wendy W.
“Shelia is great. She always calls me every year to review my policy and see if we need to make any changes.
And the rates with Pacific Insurance Partners were almost half of what all the other companies had quoted me. Excellent and easy company to work with.”
-LeeAnn G.
” Huge supporter of Pacific Insurance Partners! They have taken excellent care of our insurance needs for
over 5 years now and we could not be happier with the service, response time, and informative solutions that they offer! Thank you Sheila and everyone at Pacific Insurance Partners!”
-Jenna P.
Why? Because we want to grow our business with people just
like you— and the best way to do that is through referrals from
people we already know and like!
(NOTE: We have improved this program for 2013 and now make matching donations
to local charities! Please see the back page of this newsletter for the details.)
Happy Holidays
From Sparky, the
Office Cat!
“ I have been with Sheila and Pacific Ins. Partners for many years. They continue to look at my policies and
find ways to save me money and increase my service. With four Boys in school I need things to be efficient and easy, PIP
is just that. I can call, e-mail or drop by the office and make changes to my policies very quickly.
Gingerbread Contest
From the NewsTimes
Community members had a chance to vote for their favorite
gingerbread house during Forest Grove City Club’s Holiday in
the Grove Dec. 1. The appropriately named Candy Cebula won
the People’s Choice award by the slimmest of margins. Her
gingerbread house featured stained-glass windows (melted
Jolly Ranchers) and a roof of painstakingly placed sliced almonds, along with M&Ms and frosting.
For her culinary and creative efforts, Cebula won a $30 gift
certificate to 1910 Main.
