What is GloryBound?
GloryBound is the High School
Youth Gathering of the LCMS’ Texas
District. Every three years,
GloryBound is held in a different
location in Texas. In 2015, it will be
held at the Embassy Suites San
Marcos Hotel & Conference Center
(between Austin and San Antonio).
The theme of GloryBound 2015 is
Marked. God tells us in Isaiah 49:16,
“See, I have engraved you on the
palms of my hands, your walls are
ever before me.” During our time at
GloryBound, students will be
reminded that their identity is not
based on achievement, social status,
or how many “likes” they get on
their selfies, but on who they are in
Christ. God’s people are marked as
belonging to God, as redeemed in
Christ, as servants of God, and as
the Church.
Featuring dynamic speakers, Bible
study leaders, and musicians,
GloryBound is an opportunity for
students to grow in their lives of
faith. It is also an opportunity to get
out into the community and live out
that faith through servant events.
Finally, GloryBound is an
opportunity for students to gather
in fellowship with over 700 LCMS
students from across Oklahoma and
Texas to celebrate God’s work in our
lives!

Thursday, July 16: Gathering begins.
Sunday, July 17: Gathering Ends;
Travel Day
Cost and Registration
$300 per person. This cost includes
travel, meals, gathering cost, hotel,
and group activity. (Scholarships are
available, based on need. Please
contact Heath Lewis, Director of
Discipleship, for more information.)

GloryBound logo. There, you will
find an individual information form.
Please return this form, along with a
$100 deposit, to the Holy Trinity
Church Office by Wednesday, May
20.
The remaining $200 balance can be
paid out of pocket, or through
student fundraising accounts.
Please Note: GloryBound is open to
all students who are currently in
grades 8-12.

In consideration for participation in the 2015 LCMS Texas District High School Gathering, “GloryBound,”
I, the parents or legal guardian of the listed minor child (I), being 21 years of age or older, do on behalf my
child-participant as said child is not 21 years of age or older do hereby release, forever discharge and agree
to hold harmless the Texas District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, the Lutheran Church-Missouri
Synod, our ministry partners of GloryBound, ____________________________________ (name of home
congregation), and the directors thereof from any and all liability, of claims or demands for personal
injury, sickness or death, as well as property damage and expenses, of any nature whatsoever which may
be incurred by the undersigned and the child-participant that occur while said child is participating in the
above-described trip or activity.
Furthermore, on behalf of our (my) child-participant under the age of 21 years, hereby assume all risk of
personal injury, sickness, death, damage and expense as a result of participation in recreation and work
activities involved therein. Further, authorization and permission is hereby given to said church to furnish
any necessary transportation, food and lodging to this participant. The undersigned further hereby agree
to hold harmless and indemnify the above organizations, its directors, employees, and agents, for any
liability sustained by said church as the result of the negligent, willful or intentional acts of said participant,
including expenses incurred attendant thereto.
I am the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of this participant, and hereby grant my permission for him/her to
participate fully in said trip, and hereby give our my) permission to take said participant to a doctor or
hospital and hereby authorize medical and/or dental treatment, including but not in limitation to emergency
surgery or medical and/or dental treatment, and assume the responsibility of all medical/dental bills, if any.
Further, should it be necessary for the participant to return home due to medical reasons, disciplinary
action or otherwise, we (I) hereby assume all transportation costs.

promotional materials.
