1.Introduction
It's the unbeatable rival of all difficulty in printing & lamination
Main products:plastic film ,plastic sheet and board,metallic foil surface corona processors ,single
sheet corona processor (vulgo electric spark processor ,electric compactor).Applied in industries of
plastic film blowing,printing,lamination,glue coating,coating cloth,digits jetting,paint spraying,suitable for
materials of all kinds of plastic film,sheet and board material ,aluminum foil,aluminum film plating (such
as PP,PE,PET,OPP,PS,ABS etc.) paper and fiber.
XC-J 3000 corona processor provides you an entirely new solution of preprinting process for plastic
film .The special pulse density modulation control equivalent circuit resonant inverse design can make
the AC output terminal produce square wave voltage or zero level voltage within certain power regulation
period ,thus even a corona discharge has a strong non liner load p,it can also control power output within
a wide range ,performing functions of locking phase,switch softening and power regulation,completing
with perfect multi route protection circuit ,making the whole corona processor liable and steady ,the
product uses a microcomputer for power regulating and digits display ,it's easy in operation and
understanding and meeting the requirements for strong or weak treatment,the detailed product
specification as the following:
Note:The corona equipment is high voltage high power supply,for security ,all series
of the equipment must be installed ground wire.

2.The test and application of plastic surface corona
processing equipment
Now days，the plastic flexible package is widely used in each field of commodity package,the most
commonly material used in flexible package is polyethylene and polypropylene etc nonpolar film which
belongs to the non-polar material,surface density is bright and clean,it is a kind of inert surface, the
surface free energy relatively low,just（2.9～3.0)×10-6J/cm2.
Theoretically, the surface free energy is lower than 3.3 × 10-6J/cm2 film can't make any kinds of
known adhesive happen infiltration at present, so first must through the surface treatment, make the thin
film surface free energy to (3.8 ~ 4.0) 10-6 J/cm2, just to get a good composite strength.The common
method used in film surface treatment are many .and the corona processing is the most common.
Intaglio printing machine should be equipped with corresponding corona processing equipment,in
need to deal with,as long as put the film in order wear the middle of electrode roller,the processed film
directly into the printing unit and the adhesion effect of ink in the film is good.
Installing corona processing equipment on the dry compound machine , the purpose is to improve the
polyolefin film surface tension value and improve the attached fastness of the composite product,
After corona process,the film surface tension can achieve above 3.8 × 10-2N/m ， the highest can
reach to 4.0 × 10-2N/m,make the composite membrane strip strength increased,and can meet the
requirement of quality absolutely.Install this corona processing equipment,it is helpful to the aluminum
plating membrane, especially BOPP aluminized film, just changes in the aspect of equipment installation
wiring.
Below we will discuss from the following several aspects,such as corona treatment principle ,surface
tension detection method ,equipment installation wiring and the common troubleshooting.
2.1 The principle of corona processing
2.1.1 Electric shock or breakdown
Under the effect of high voltage electric field,The electronic current compact to the plastic film
strongly and make the film surface fuzz,become rough,increase the surface area.When the adhesive
and its surface contact, it can produce good infiltration, adhesive,will be penetrated to the nap of
concave groove, rely on the "anchor" effect, make the film fastness cemented,this is a kind of physical
action.
Under high power magnifier and observed that under the treated film relative to the untreated film, its
surface obvious uneven and very rough,the strength of compact will increase with the rise of the voltage
and current.
2.1.2 Increase the film polarity
Under the effect of high voltage electric field,the oxygen in air turn into ozone,ozone decomposition
into oxygen and new ecological oxygen atom.The new ecological oxygen atom is a strong oxidizer,
which make the alpha carbon atom of the polyethylene and polypropylene molecular oxidate, forming
carbonyl and hydroxyl.With this structure，the film molecular polarity increased and the surface tension
increased as well,at the same time increased the affinity of adhesive and the Cementation fastness of
composite membrane

Otherwise,because produced carbonyl,and make molecular chain produce new alpha carbon
atom,which will appear lively hydrogen, this lively hydrogen and polyurethane adhesive of lively sex
group isocyanate root (- NCO) produce chemical reaction,which make the material and adhesive
generated solid chemical bond, finally increased the cementation fastness.
From infrared spectroscopy detection we can found that,the processed polyolefin film surface appear
carbonyl and hydroxyl absorption peak,,this means the above chemical action exists.
2.2 The test method of surface tension
The general test method have three
2.2.1 Use BOPP one-sided adhesive tape for stripping inspection
Put BOPP one-sided adhesive tape stick the test film surface and compress tightly,then rive it,if the
film surface tension meet the operating requirements,which means that you use enough power to strip
and the sound is small,instead it is very easy to peel,and accompanied by "sasa" sound.
2.2.2 Use dyne test pen test
When the film surface tension value meets demands
(BOPP:3.8x10-2N/m ， PET:5.0x10-2N/m ，
nylon:5.2x10-2N/m), the place which the test pen stroke where liquid mark uniform, no break mark, no
shrinkage ， or the test liquid will shrink ， if some parts contract and others not contract, this means
processed not enough.However,it's worth mentioning that when inspect PET and nylon，you will choose
the bigger test pen,the general specification of surface tension test pen has 5 kinds :3.8×10-2N/m 、
4.0×10-2N/m、4.2×10-2N/m、4.4×10-2N/m、4.8×10-2N/m (Measurement aluminum foil)。
2.2.3 Preparation surface tension test liquid voluntarily
Several surface tension test liquid recipe see the attached form,the test method is dipping a little test
liquid with tampon and coating in the treatment surface,judgment method is roughly same as the second
point.The processed film should not be placed for a long time,up to 7 days,the surface tension value will
reduced more obviously if placed too long time.If you need placed too long ,the surface tension initial
value must be improved for（2～4）×10-2/m during processing film.

3.The
requirements
3.1 The AC power connected with the host power wire platform must be choose the specifications for the
conductor is above 2.5mm2.
3.2 The ground of power wire platform must be connected to the earth，or the connect wire of host and
corona frame appear shot circuit and high-voltage cable with its connection related high-voltage parts
and device body appear discharge,corona or short circuit ,even damage to the host and the equipment
will discontinuous operate or safe shut-down,or make the back terminal of the host backplane connect
earth.
3.3 For security, please don’t connect the “AC220” zero lines with “Ground” 。

4.The
requirements
4.1 The ground wire need to weld in the soldering lug then connect to the earth terminal ,if the earth wire
appears open circuit,the equipment will lead the high voltage to the corona device during running and
make the device with high voltage or damage to the host,which make the device appear intermittent
work or protective stop.
4.2 The distance between the high-tension cable with its connection related high-tension parts and other
any metal or conducting objects must be more than 50mm，or discharge may occur and the equipment
will discontinuous operate or safe shut-down ,even make it breakdown.
4.3 Must identify clearly the insulated electrode and the noninsulated electrode of the corona frame(Red
wiring terminal is insulated electrode),if connected incorrectly will damage to the corona device.
4.4 Please check the whole wiring before starting after installation,make sure it correct then electrify it.
4.5 The wire between host and discharge frame should be short,or it will connect with other objects then
appear discharge and corona phenomenon.
4.6 Because the side board of corona frame is organic glass,so the electrode knife and the silica gel roll
can used for insulated plate.The double-side treatment corona frame silica gel roll as insulated electrode
connect the host red wiring terminal,the two electrode knives as noninsulated electrode connect the host
black wiring terminal.
5.Instructions
5.1 Please push up the power switch to the “ON” position after connecting the AC power and corona
frame correctly,then the corona equipment can work normally and appear corona discharge on the
discharge frame at once ,then push down the switch to the 'OFF" position and the equipment stop
working.
5.2 Adjust the up and down key,make the output power reach to the needed value, the up key means

increase spark,the down key means reduce spark。（See
5.3 Every start the machine,the equipment will keep the last shutdown power value
5.4 The value showed in the showwindow is relative.
5.5 In order to make the compactor work more steady,the machine will inspect the size of frame to set
the max and min spark value automatically.So if you adjust the value out of its scope manually,the
machine will correct it and change it back,if the spark you needed isn't in the scope,you can solve it by
adjusting the length of high-voltage wire or the size of discharge.
5.6 when the output high-voltage appears open circuit,shot circuit and leakage currents,the compactor
will close the high-voltage output and with code display the fault reason in the showwindow.Please
close the main power of compactor after making sure the fault cause and conduct disassembling
operation after determining no high voltage.
5.7 Alarm display instructions --ER0,ER1,ER2,ER3 is start alarm；ER4,ER5,ER6,ER7,ER8 is operation
alarm
5.8 No material stop instructions：Must be install the material hall switch to effective.

6.1 when the equipment is running ,the host fan and exhaust window can't be kepped out with
objects.Around the host don't cling to a large area of iron during installed,and make the equipment stay
away this kind of material above 4cm distance，or it will increase the power consumption and raise the
temperature of the equipment for eddy current loss.
6.2 Please turn off the corona host after 5 minutes then maintain the high voltage parts, or you will have
a sense of shock occurs due to the electric energy in capacitors
6.3 Host and discharge frame must be matched ,The longest double-sided treatment width of discharge
frame for 1KW host is 800mm,The longest double-sided treatment width of discharge frame for 2KW
host is 1000mm,The longest double-sided treatment width of discharge frame for 3KW host is 1300mm.

8.Maintain and inspect
8.1 Please check whether the discharge frame with the high voltage of host is connected
securely and the ground wire is loosed before starting.
8.2 Please open the host case and clean the dust regularly

10.4.1 If appear boot startup protection whether Er7 or Er8 can increase properly number three
parameters。
10.4.2 If the spark of the last boot operation is too large, the boot don't want spark climb to the last。
10.4.3 The boot don't want spark climb to the last,But in the boot at the same time hold the two
up-and-down adjusting button at the same time , then spark will just stop at the 07parameters setted
value and the last spark value the which recorded shutdown time will be deleted.
10.4.4 If regularly appear Er4 or Er5 during running , we can adjust number 4 parameters or
number 5 parameters.

10.4.5 The bigger of the two parameters value,the harder to protection，If the parameter adjustment
too bigger,it will cause the phenomenon that when have real protection need to protection ,the
machine will doesn't work.

2. The Method of use
1、Prepare three 50ml measuring pot.
2、start the electronic libra，make it in the state of measured.
3、Measure the net weight of the two measuring cup and note down the data,then put them
separately.
4、According to the recipe,then take the formamide into the measuring cup which has already
weighted,put them on the electronic libra to weigh the weight and on the basis of the first after less
then until meet the target weight.
5、According to the recipe,then take the glycol ether into the measuring cup which has already
weighted,put them on the electronic libra to weigh the weight and on the basis of the first after less
then until meet the target weight.
6、Pour the two different liquid into another measuring cup and plug tight the mouth with rubber
cover after slight shaking evenly.
