The world-famous Palio, held in the summer, is an important part of Sienese identity. It is 120 km by car.
San Gimignano - With its unmistakable towers San gimignano, has remained virtually intact over the centuries
and offers a fascinating insight into life in the 13th century. It is 160 km by car.

Its exceptional position, between Rome and Florence, makes Argentario a
strategic point from which to visit one of the most interesting areas of Italy.

If you dock in Argentario you can discover the wonders of its inlets, majestic
cliffs, surrounding islands and relish in the beautiful deep red sunsets over the sea.
In front Porto Santo Stefano, just a few miles away, there are the beautiful islands of Giglio and Giannutri, where you can enjoy
swimming in one of the several natural bay. Visit the ruins of an ancient, glorious past the Spanish watch towers, the fortress of
Porto Ercole, the Etruscan-Roman city of Cosa, and the other islands of the Tuscan archipelago, like the Island of Elba.

This marine at the foot of Mount Filippo on Argentario
can easily hold up to 750 boats of all dimensions.
It has all the services such as water and power and
there are some ship-chandler shops for all your needs.
Nearby is the famous Spa of Saturnia, the medieval
towns of Pitigliano and Sovana.

This ancient fortified medieval village nestling in the hill
with its beautiful Fortezza (walled castle) is wrld renowned for its wine, il Brunello di Montalcino, which is produced solely from
the fruit of Sangiovese Grosso and aged for a minimum of between 10 and 30 years. It is 90 Km by car.

Florence is known for its monuments and works of art.
The magnificent dome of the cathedral is by Brunelleschi and the nearby bell tower
by Giotto. In the heart of the city you can visit the unique Ponte Vecchio, (the Old
Bridge), with its ancient jeweller shops, Piazza della Signoria, Plazzo Pitti, the
Uffizi art gallery, the Accademia where Michelangelo’s ‘David’ can be seen, and
works by Donatello, Giambologna and Raphael. It is 200 km by car.
Rome
Visit ancient Rome, a city dating back to 753 B.C. You can visit the many glorious
ruins of the Roman Empire, the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, Circus Maximus, the
Pantheon and the Domus Aurea. Visit St.Peter’s Cathedral, home to the Pope and
the largest Christian church in the world with its splendid Sistine Chapel painted
by Michelangelo. Go shopping in the elegant Via Condotti, take in the ‘Dolce Vita’
atmosphere around the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and in the evening sit
outside in the bars in Trastevere. It is 150 km by car.
