Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg's 2nd Annual Media Karting Competition

On Tuesday, February 27, organizers of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg put media up
to the ultimate challenge, the 2nd Annual Media Karting Competition.
Media organizations in St. Petersburg and the surrounding area were invited to Andersen
RacePark in Palmetto for some fun and "friendly" competition. Each organization put together a
team of up to 4 people and were paired up with a professional driver from one of the 6 series
competing at the Honda Grand Prix on March 23-25.
This year's professional drivers participating in the media competition included Mario Andretti

(IZOD IndyCar Series), Simon Pagenaud (IZOD IndyCar Series), Peter Dempsey (Firestone
Indy Lights), Jacob Wilson (Firestone Indy Lights), Matthew Barbham (USF2000), Shannon
McIntosh (USF2000), Spencer Pigot (USF2000), and Shea Holbrook (Pirelli World Challenge).
Before hitting the track, Jonny Baker (above) from Andersen RacePark briefed the 10 media
teams competing on the rules of the road.
