Rental Depot Chafing Dish Instructions

CHAFING DISH INSTRUCTIONS
QUICK SETUP:
1. Remove all components from packaging. Save packaging for return at end of rental.
2. Place water pan (the deeper of the two pans) in the chafer frame. Fill with water to fill line.
3. Set the food pan inside of the water pan.
4. Place sterno cup with lid and fuel canister under the water pan. Rectangle chafing dishes will
have two cups; round or square dishes will have one.
5. Place lid (with handle) on top of chafer.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
1. Pry li d off of the sterno fuel canister(s). Leave canister in cup with lid on and open. Light with a
lighter or match. Replace cup under water pan.
2. Place food in food pan. Remember that chafing dishes are not designed for cooking food, but
for keeping food warm. For best results heat your food in an oven before placing in chafer pan.
3. Replace lid on chafing dish to keep food warm.
NOTES AND WARNINGS:
1. Stir food occasionally to ensure even warmth and to make sure the b
ottom does not burn.
2. Keep an eye on the water level. Never use a chafing dish without water.
3. Chafer components may get HOT! Use an oven mitt to handle frame or food pans, and use tongs
if it becomes necessary to replace fuel canisters.
4. Never leave the chafer unattended and always keep out of reach of children and pets.
5. Lids should remain on the chafing dishes whenever food is not being served. Use caution when
opening lids so that escaping steam does n
ot burn your face or hands.
6. Do not place chafing dish components on a hot stove or in an oven.
7. Chafers are for indoor use only; please use only the provided fuel with these chafers.
BREAKDOWN AND CLEANING:
1. Use caution when handling the chafing dish as components may be hot.
2. Extinguish the fuel canister by closing the cover on the lid. DO NOT blow out.
3. Remove all food from food pan and wash pan. Rinse out food and water pans.
4. Discard used fuel canisters. W
ipe clean canister cups and lids, and chafer frame and lid.
5. Replace clean components in packaging for return.
