Involvement with special events throughout the
islands is very fulfilling. Being a part of so many
special occasions in all of our customers lives
gives us a true sense of purpose.
Joan and Jack always felt that family was the most
important to them...this attitude of OHANA extends
beyond, out into the community.

In 1999, Jill created a show that brings to
life an historical perspective of Hawaii’s
Fashion. It is her desire to bring
understanding and foster appreciation of
the beauty and uniqueness of our
traditional Island fashions.
With a special agreement from The
Bishop Museum, Jill was able to research
and then re-create many magnificent
gowns worn by Hawaii’s First ladies.
A Fashion Journey ~ The 1820’s to
Present day Hawaii, was a year and a half
in the making that included endless hours
in the archives of the Bishop Museum.
This collection preserves a part of
Hawaii’s past...while offering a sense of
place for the fashions that have evolved
decade by decade….

Jean (Tutu), Joan, Jill & Jaye Modeling 1985
Jill joined the company in 1985 after a five year
modeling career in New York City and Palm
Beach Florida. While working for many top
designers, Jill found she truly loved the beauty
and creativity of fashion. In order to express her
love of Hawaii’s traditional fashions she began
to design a Bridal Line for the company. At the
same time, a retail boutique was opened which
quickly grew to include a variety of fashions
from casual resort to Island Formal wear as well
as gifts and accessories. Now as president, Jill
holds close to her heart the vision established by
her parents. She is keeping pace with changing
times and trends by offering contemporary styles
and adaptations of perennial favorites.
