The Hemisfèric, opened in April 1998
and designed by Santiago Calatrava,
is a unique and spectacular building
representing a large human eye. It was
the first of the buildings at the City of
Arts and Sciences.
The building is surrounded by pools of water,
which reflect its grandeur and serve as a
setting for shows, as well as offering large
areas for events.
It holds the largest screening room in Spain,
with three systems:
- Large Format Cinema,
- Digital Projection: astronomical representations
and entertainment shows.
- 3D Digital Cinema (screen dimensions 12 * 6
m approx.).
The technical capabilities of the screening
room mean it can be used for product
launches, conferences, symposia, etc.

surrounds the building’s characteristic dome,
evoking a large human eye.

The Príncipe Felipe Science Museum opened on
13th November 2000.
The Museum, designed by Valencian architect
Santiago Calatrava, is unique in the world due
to the geometry of the building, its structure,
the materials used and the constant presence of
nature within it.

It is an architectural jewel that should also be
contemplated from within, constituting as it does an
effective witness to the technological and aesthetic
achievements of mankind at the beginning of the 21st
century.
The building covers more than 24,000m2,
including both interior and exterior areas. With
its multiple spaces, it is a perfect setting for
holding events, conferences and conventions.
Another unique feature of the Príncipe Felipe
Science Museum is its integration into the
spectacular Valencia City of Arts and Sciences.
Its value as a supplement and support to
companies and institutions contributes to its
sense of being a living museum, in constant

Located at the heart of the Museum, this spectacular auditorium is the ideal location for
conferences, presentations and gatherings in general.
It is fully equipped with the normal services and needs of such acts.
The auditorium has a classroom-like arrangement and capacity for 310 people, expandable to a
maximum of 450 people using the lobby.
Hire of the auditorium includes a VIP lounge with direct access, perfect for speakers, and a ​​300m2

in theatre seating.
Next to the Multipurpose Hall, this is a multifunctional space with an area of ​​100m2 and seating for up to

It includes essential audiovisual services, with a technician to deal with audiovisual needs during events.
It is laid out like a classroom and can seat 18 people. The layout can be changed according to the requirements
of the event.

Located on the ground floor of the Museum and with enormous possibilities, this is a
completely open plan exhibition space offering a total of 4,000m2.
Perhaps the most versatile space in the City of Arts and Sciences, given the dimensions
and the range of possibilities it offers, it can be used for large conferences, product
launches, cocktail parties, dinners, galas....
It comprises 12 arches, each with a surface area of ​​324m2. The arches can be rented
individually, depending on the requirements of the event in question.

Adjacent to the Archways, detailed above, these spaces are usually hired as a whole. The Gateway imitates
an eyelid, which can be opened by mechanical hydraulics.
It is an ideal supplement to the Archways, and can be used as a private entrance for direct access by
guests, or hired individually for small presentations, product sampling, cocktails etc. Its location offers
superb views of the other buildings at the City of Arts and Sciences.

One of the most exclusive and largest spaces in Europe, it is
located on the first floor of the Museum and has a surface
area of ​​4,000m2.
Its glass cascade, with a height of 30 metres and presided
over by the five gigantic columns supporting the building,
allows for unbeatable views of much of the complex.
Two of the main iconic elements of the Museum are held
here: Foucault’s Pendulum and the artistic representation of
the DNA molecule.
This space has a large outdoor terrace, the north balcony,
which perfectly complements events held in the Calle
Mayor, whether it be a cocktail before dinner, or a fireworks
display after dinner.
All or just half of the space can be hired, depending on
requirements.

is located next to the lake bordering the museum.

On the first floor of the Museum, this is a large terrace with views over the City of Arts and Sciences.
Thousands of visitors cross the area on their way to and from the buildings.

This makes it the perfect place for product promotions or samplings, taking advantage of the affluence of visitors
to the complex itself.

The Umbracle was the third building
to be opened at the City of Arts and
Sciences. This large walkway to the
south of the complex has a central,
tree-lined garden from which to
contemplate the magnitude of the
City of Arts and Sciences.
The Flying Buttress Walkway, with its large
arcade, is suitable for all types of event,
and is the perfect complement for events
held in other parts of the complex. It has
two levels and 665 parking spaces.
The Mirador del Umbracle is a large walkway
that overlooks the entire complex where
all kinds of open-air events can be held as
well as complementary activities (chill out
area, gala dinners...), in combination with
the other buildings.

The Flying Buttress Walkway is a semi-covered space, 130m long and
with a surface area of 1,586 m2.
With an area of 320m2,

this is a quiet, open-air space,
located to the south of the complex above the car park.
Given the length of the space, a wide range of events is possible:
product sampling, exhibition stands...
Being an outdoor area, in the event of bad weather we
guarantee relocation to another area under the same
contractual conditions.
This large promenade overlooks the complex and runs
adjacent to the Umbracle Gardens. Open-air events or
complementary activities can be held in combination
with the other buildings. It covers a ​​2,810m2 area.

It is formed by a large, iron archway, running along the Hemisfèric
and Science Museum lakes.
The walkway is normally where the coaches arrive, and has room for

The Oceanogràfic opened on February
14th 2003. It is the largest marine centre
in Europe, and also an exceptional
location for companies wishing to
give their events a touch of class and
singularity.
It offers companies and event organizers
distinct spaces, all characterized by the
beauty of their architecture.
The Oceanogràfic has become a world leader
for its innovative design, its spectacular size
and its wealth of species. An exclusive space,
it allows visitors to immerse themselves in
the seas and oceans of the world.
Its indoor areas include the Access Building,
designed by architect Felix Candela. This is one
of the most iconic buildings at the Oceanogràfic,
with its roof shaped like a water lily and made
from white concrete just 15 cm thick. The
Oceanogràfic is the ideal setting for a congress,
seminar, conference or any kind of presentation.

A magnificent amphitheatre-shaped hall, with a stage presided
over by the large Red Sea aquarium.
With seating for 470 people, it is equipped with all the audiovisual
needs of a congress, seminar, conference, presentation, gala etc.
It includes two 80m2 side lobbies, both fitted with cloakrooms, a
lounge area and screens for following events, making the perfect
addition to the Auditorium.
It also has a 400m2 outside front terrace, perfect for holding
coffee breaks, cocktails before the ceremony, photo calls,
receiving guests...

Part of our daily visitors’ usual route, the hall is surrounded by two enormous
panoramic aquariums, both of them 24 metres long and representing the
ecosystem of the Indo-Pacific and Caribbean reefs.
It is a privileged area, for press conferences, meetings, conferences and small
product launches.
The location of the hall and its features mean it can only be used while the
complex is closed.

As with the previous hall, the Antarctic Hall forms part of the usual visitors’ tour and as such can only be used

It has wooden tiers in the shape of an amphitheatre, with seating for 100 people facing the Humboldt

Located inside the Oceanogràfic office and control building, the Press Room is a functional area
for about 50 people and with views of the gardens.

and a small side room for coffee breaks.

This is the flagship restaurant at the Oceanogràfic, with its spectacular architecture,
designed by Felix Candela.
It is divided on two floors. The upper floor forms an island surrounded by the park’s
central lake.
This spacious ring stands out for its spectacular lamp, which, in the shape of a water
lily, lights up the evenings, making your event an unforgettable experience for your
clients.
With a dining capacity of 300 people, and cocktail parties of 450, it has spacious
outdoor terraces that offer the perfect complement to your event.
The lower floor of the restaurant is surrounded by a stunning aquarium with shoals of
silver fish, the perfect harmony between nature and cuisine.
It has dining facilities for 120 people.

A wooden hall covering an area of ​​370m2, it has an outdoor terrace with wonderful views of the lake and the
Oceanogràfic’s spectacular architecture, reflected in the crystalline water. Perfect for cocktails before dinner or

The new icon of the City of Arts and Sciences is a
versatile space that can accommodate events of
various kinds. A multifunctional stage designed
for congresses, conventions, sporting events,
concerts and performances, with the capability of
being transformed into an exhibition area.

The Ágora is a metallic structure with a ground plan similar to a
pointed ellipse, about 88 metres long and 66 metres wide. Its covered
area is approximately 4,811 square metres. This large indoor space is
conceived as a covered, open plan public plaza at the level of the lakes
and adjacent walkways. The surface of the fixed cover, which when
closed reaches a height of 70 metres above ground level, is made of
glass panels, with the lower part being made of opaque ‘trencadís’
panels.
The building is surrounded by two lakes that complement the space
indoors. They can be used for water shows, product launches, concerts,
dinners, fashion shows... adding value to them.
The north lake is 1,533 square metres, while the south lake is 5,722
square metres.

E S P L A N A D E
We now have a new leasable space suitable for all
types of events.
Located between the Príncipe Felipe Science
Museum and the Ágora, l’Assut Esplanade occupies
more than 12,000 square metres and is completely
open plan.
It is perfect for large scale activities or events with
large numbers of people, such as concerts, product
samplings, outdoor dining, promotions, film sets,
product launches, car shows, or additional areas to
