Malcolm J. McInnes has over 30 years professional experience in the production and
management of live events within the international music, corporate/conference, arts,
entertainment, leisure, sports and special event industries.
During his career he has held prestigious appointments such as Show Manager of The Royal
Albert Hall and worked on the production of a wide range of major tours & events including
Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Chage & Aska, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Michael
Nyman, The Institute of Directors (IOD) Annual Convention, the 150th Anniversary of
Cunard Cruise Lines, London International Jazz Festival, The Grand Sumo Tournament,
The Royal Lipizzaner Stallions and Holiday on Ice.
His live event work in the Asia region has included production consultancy and planning for
Silverlake Music Festival in Thailand & Jose Carreras' concert performance at Angkor Wat
in Cambodia; project direction & production management for the Bangkok 100 Rock
Festival; production, stage, site and/or operations management for festivals, concerts and
events in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE including the Gala VIP millennium
launch of the Singapore landmark Fullerton Hotel, Dubai Desert Rock Festival 2007/2008,
Desert Rhythm Festival 2007/2008, Kylie Minogue, Roger Waters, Phil Collins, Destiny's
Child, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Coldplay,
Shakira, George Michael, Queen & Paul Rodgers, Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, WOMAD
Singapore 2000/2001, Singapore International Jazz Festival 2001, Eric Clapton, Keane,
Robert Wilson's Hot Water project, The Killers, Rihanna, Creamfields Abu Dhabi Festival
and the inaugural Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Concerts.
He has been responsible for the production and/or site management of a number of
prestigious Royal and national events in the UAE including The Royal Household Cavalry
Musical Ride at ADIHEX 2009, Queen Elizabeth II State Visit to the UAE / Launch of the
Sheikh Zayed National Museum in 2010 and the Grand Launch of Emirates Aluminium in
April 2011.
