10:10 a.m. Wesley Hall Worship &
11:15 a.m. Sanctuary Worship
Please be in prayer for our Confirmation Class and make plans to be in worship to support them as
they make public professions of faith, celebrate baptism or baptismal reaffirmation, and enter into full
membership in our church. This will be a very special and holy day in the life of our church.
This year we have 22 amazing young people sharing this experience. Since January they have been studying basics of the
Christian faith and Wesleyan tradition, reaching out in service to others, building relationships, and learning what it means to
be a Christian and faithful church member. The Confirmands, their mentors/prayer partners and their families will also
celebrate with a luncheon following the 11:15 a.m. worship service in Wesley Hall. Praise be to God!

D ominican Republic Mission Trip
Trip Date: July 28 - August 4
As the Dominican Republic Mission Team of IUMC (22 adults and youth) nears the departure for the
July 28-August 4 trip, we ask that you join with us as we prepare for this amazing opportunity to
serve like Jesus. You can serve, even if you aren’t able to go with us! We need church members to
support us through prayers. Please start praying for us now that God will use us for His glory!
He heals the brokenhearted, He binds up
their wounds. He fixes the
number of stars; He calls
each one by name.

Northern Kentucky School of Music of Immanuel UMC
April was a busy month for the School of Music - Showers of Blessings! The Northern Kentucky Children’s
Ensemble competed in Chicago Saturday, April 18, and won:
 Gold rating & invited to the Festival of Gold for 2016.
 Maggie Wallace, choir member, won a trophy for her choreographed dance to one of the numbers sung
by the choir.
 Adjudicator’s award for having scores of 92+, plus the highest scores overall.

Making An Impact...Immanuel’s Holy Week Journey
This year’s Holy Week journey provided many opportunities for Immanuel worshippers to experience God’s presence. Palm
Sunday worship services were festive celebrations filled with worshippers singing joyful hymns and songs, and waving palm
branches. Our children and parent volunteers processed in the sanctuary and contemporary services, inviting us to recall and
celebrate Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
Our Holy Week Presentation was “From the Garden to the Cross.” Through monologues we journeyed with Jesus, Peter, John
the Beloved, Simon of Cyrene, Mary Magdalene, and several others. We experienced the sights, sounds, and passion
surrounding Jesus’ final days before His crucifixion. Many worshippers shared “I felt like I was right there with each character,
seeing, hearing, feeling what was happening.”
On Good Friday, we gathered with our brothers and sisters in Christ at the Community Good Friday Service. Hosted by Gloria
Dei Lutheran Church, several area churches came together to offer thanks and praise to God for His grace and mercy in
sending Jesus to die for our sins.
Easter Sunday worship services provided opportunities for worshippers to praise God for His victory over death and darkness,
and to celebrate the risen Christ. Celebratory music, messages of hope and assurance, and joyful worshippers filled our
worship spaces. It was a glorious day of worship!
On behalf of the Worship and Music Ministry, sincere thanks to all who served in worship leadership during Holy Week!
Musicians, worship teams, cast and crew, volunteers, church staff—your gifts of time and talent blessed us richly on our Holy
Week journey. Thank you!
Christ is risen! Christ is risen, indeed! Alleluia! …. Joanne Brumm, Minister of Music
