Term 4
Week 1
“You are always a student, never a master. You have to keep moving forward.”
Conrad Hall
Dear Parents
http://www.cybersafetysolutions.com.au/.
Welcome back for term 4! We
hope that you had a wonderful
break and made the most of the
beautiful weather in the second
week of the holidays. This term
we have our major excursions
coming up, with three of them
being in week 3. If you haven’t
as yet finalised your child’s
payment for their excursion, we
would appreciate it if you could
do so as soon as possible as we
need to confirm our numbers. If
you are having financial difficulty,
please come and see us and we
can arrange a payment plan.
On Wednesday Year 6 are then
off to Coffs Harbour as part of
the STELLAR program which
aims to increase students’
knowledge of higher education
and the opportunities that are
available to them.
On Monday 12th, Fire and
Rescue NSW, along with the
Rural Fire Service plan to do a
burn at the rear of the school
grounds, weather permitting. If
you see smoke and flames
please keep in mind that it is a
training exercise and no cause
for alarm.
Tomorrow is World Cerebral
Palsy Day and we would like the Enjoy your week.

YPS invited to sing at Surfing The Coldstream
The Surfing the Coldstream music festival has
invited the children of Y.P.S. to sing at this year's
festival.
Early this term Ryan Enns will be coming to
school to teach the kids for fun and simple songs
for them to sing along with students from four
other schools.
The festival will take place on Saturday, October
17th at Flinders park above Main Beach in
Yamba. Parents are asked to accompany their
children to the festival from 3-4:15 pm. Please
be near the Main Stage during the Coldstream
Community Showcase so the students are ready
to jump up when Ryan calls them to sing.
Don't forget to wear your school uniform!
Watch this space for more info.
Congratulations to Paige and Sophie who
recently competed in the Premier’s Spelling
Bee. Both girls did extremely well with Sophie
winning. This means she is off to Sydney this
term to compete in the state finals. We are
very proud of Sophie as this is the first time
we have had anyone make it to this level. We
wish her all the best.
There were many medals brought
home from the Jujitsu Championships
that were held at the Gold Coast over
the school holidays.
Well done boys!
Check the school
Facebook page if the
weather is doubtful.
