Bugbug is a small village with a couple of thousand inhabitants in the East of Bali,
about 1½ hour driving from the airport Ngurah Rai at Denpasar and 15 minutes
driving from Candidasa. Bug-Bug Valley Beach Resort is located at a wide beach
with beautiful black volcanic sand and the sea.
5 Minutes driving from Bugbug lies a white sand beach, Pasir Putih, with facilities like
sun beds and little restaurants, and where you can rent equipment for snorkelling. In
Candidasa, Padang Bay and Amed (½ hour driving) are diving schools and spots.
Service
The following persons take care of a pleasant stay and provide an optimal service
during your visit at our bungalows and the resort.
Ketut and Nyoman
They take care of the 24 hours security of the resort
and the bungalows. They also take care of the
garden and the swimming pool and all kinds of
‘things to do”. If you wish to rent a boat or scooter
or just a guide to walk around in the neighbourhood
Ketut is your (English speaking) man. If you like to
arrange a BBQ with fresh fish or shrimp, just ask
Nyoman.

They clean the bungalows and
the resort. Kadek is the
manager and she runs the
restaurant where she prepares
delicious meals.
Any complaints or remarks?
Please inform Kadek. She will
take care of them.
Arrival
At your arrival, Kadek is already waiting for you with the keys of the clean bungalow
and information concerning the bungalow and the resort. Kadek will arrange for you
the payment of the tourist tax to the government (± 2 Euro per day). When your visit
of Bugbug ends, please return the keys to Kadek.
Cleaning
- After guests leave, the bungalow will be cleaned. During your stay, your bungalow
is kept clean every day and the sheets and towels are changed frequently.

If you like to have extra changes, or have private laundry just inform Kadek. She
can arrange this for you against reasonable compensation.
Meals
You can order Asian or Western meals from Kadek, breakfast or diner, at the
bungalow or at the new restaurant with a nice sea view.
Tips
- ATMs can be found in Amlapura, Klungkung, the bigger places like Sanur,
Denpasar and Kuta, and at the international airport at Denpasar.
- If you plan to use your mobile frequently for local calls in Indonesia, it can be wise
to buy a local SIM-card (with a local number). It is much cheaper. These SIMcards are available in Bugbug and Candidasa from Rp 20.000 (± 2,- Euro), but
they are valid for about 3 months, and can only be used in Indonesia.

General information
- Electricity: The bungalow has western style 220V electricity outlets. The main
power switch is located at the backside of the bungalow. In case of power failure,
which is quite common at Bali, we have two battery powered LED lamps.
- Water: The bungalow has a water pump to provide the bungalow with clean water
to shower or brush your teeth, but not for drinking. We advice to buy bottles with
drinking water in the shop.
Warm water: A boiler, placed outside, provides the bungalow with warm water.
- Air-conditioning: We advice you to enjoy the nice sea breeze and to set the AC
not too cold so the change in temperature while moving in and out the bungalow is
small. This is better for your health and for the environment. The remote control
and manual can be found in the drawer in the kitchen or bedside table.
- Smoking: We ask you kindly not to smoke in the bungalow.
- Safe: The bungalow has a small safe, which you can lock with your personal
code. In case you forgot the code, Kadek can help you to open the safe so you
can reset the code.
Bungalow Inventory
The bungalow is fully equipped for a maximum of 4 persons.
We care about our bungalow and its inventory. If you miss or damage something,
please inform Kadek. You will find an inventory list in the drawer in the kitchen.
