It’s a Wrap!
Before he founded Rip-Tie, CEO Michael Paul
Fennell was the manager of a video equipment
rental facility that catered to Hollywood’s film and
television professionals. In that job, Michael learned
first-hand that finding a system to corral cables and
cords could improve efficiency and safety. Frustrated
with the lack of available options, he set out to create
the first cable organizer using VELCRO® brand
hook and loop fasteners. He wanted something that
was easy to use and reusable, strong and durable, and
would look neat and stay in place. A couple
of years, dozens of prototypes and hundreds of
happy testers later, he launched the Original
Rip-Tie CableWrap. That was 30 years ago, and
since then, the Rip-Tie product line has expanded
along with its client base, offering solutions for
cable and cord management for everything from
home use to industrial applications.
