EXALTED RULER MESSAGE
Dear Members,
Spouses,
Widows, and
Associates,
Again, another
month has
come and gone and we are
already looking forward to
Valentine’s Day. It’s going to
be a great and busy month
already but before we talk
about that I want to say Thank
You to Jean Smith and her
daughter for putting away the
Christmas Decorations!
So on to February’s events The
Daddy Daughter date night
will be February 7, 2015, Dinner will start at 6:00pm and
dancing will follow. This has
been a tradition forever and
we have fathers-grandfathers
that have been doing it for
years, what a great way for fathers-grandfathers to show off
their girls, and do some dancing.
The next event will be the
Sweetheart ball, bring out your
honey and get a picture and
dance the night away. We are
hoping to have a great turn
out for this event and a great
dinner! We will be having
Crab Legs or Steak invite you
friends and family to this great
event.
Next month we will be hosting the LOE Music Awards this
is a great night of some of the
most talented musicians what
great music to listen to.
The St. Patrick party will be
coming in March and I know
Nicole and her crew have a
great night planned.
Also, in March we will be hosting the UEA State Meeting and
we are looking for HELP! Yes,
we are always asking for help
but it is crunch time and we
need help finishing up the
lodge and help staffing the
help for this event. If you can
help please contact me.

Ladies Of Elks
Dear Ladies,
I hope this letter finds you
healthy and warm. With all the
germs going around I have been
lucky to have only been sick a
few days, and my kids have been
healthy thank goodness.
I would like to remind you all that this month is Past
Presidents meeting and I hope we have a lot of you
ladies who have presided in the past out for recognition. Shani Green is the months hostess and
would like you all to bring your historian books to
share.
After meeting we are staying for a short craft night
to work on some décor for the Spring meeting
which is hosted by Provo lodge this year.
Saturday March 7th during the Spring meeting is
the ladies luncheon with the wife of the Grand Exalted Ruler. It has been graciously opened to all of
the ladies by our own State first lady Sheri Andreg.
Please remember you need to pre-order your lunch
tickets or you will not get in. You can order online
or from Secretary Linda Gaines.
Please Please bring something for our large raffle
basket so that we can get it filled. I would like to
thank Nora, Shani, Monique and Tina for coming to
help clean the closet. We didn't get much done
because of a scheduling conflict but will get it done
soon.
We will be taking pictures at our February meeting
so come prepared to take one.
This month is 1st nominations for officers for the
2015-16 year. If you have someone in mind or
would like to take on an office yourself we would
—Your Exalted Ruler 2014-15 love put you in. See you all on the 11th.

I found this little tidbit about Volunteers
One word has a special meaning it is so vast and dear.
It is truly known by those who it describes the word is Volunteer
The Volunteer is a “Special Breed”
They perform miracles each day
They love the work they do indeed
And would not think of getting paid
Some say that they will be extinct
not in abundance anymore
I say they are still where help is needed
and often not asked for
They do their work for others
not seeking attention or accolades galore
They do their work with piece of mind and pride
and are seeking nothing more
They perform their deeds with reverence
and humility from the start
Simply giving “selfless service” from their volunteering heart
While far from becoming extinct
There will always be a need
For Special giving Volunteer to perform a special deed
For until everyone gives a little of themselves
there will always be a place to stand
For a loving Volunteer to lend a helping hand
This is how I feel about the Elks AssociationYour Exalted Ruler Tina Teeples
