NETWORKING LUNCHEON
On March 18th, 2016, the Warrensburg Chamber of
Commerce hosted a legislative luncheon in The
Granary Tap House and Grill located at 146 W. Pine
Street in Warrensburg.
Chamber Board Chair Casey Lund and owner of
Warrensburg Collison was the emcee for the legislative
update and introduced elected officials Senator David
Pearce, Representatives Denny Hoskins and Dean
Dohrman, City of Warrensburg Mayor Robin Allen and
Council member Donna DeFrain.
Several legislative issues were presented by Senator
Pearce and Representatives Hoskins and Dohrman
such as funding for Missouri roads and highways, the
Step Therapy program, texting and driving bill, sexual
violence prevention and Old Drum being potentially
recognized as the state’s historic dog.

Storybook Trail
Enjoy reading, exercising, and family time all in one!
During each program a fun story will be displayed along
the trail. As you walk/bike/run along the trail, you can
stop at each page to find out what happens next! Stories
will be posted at each trail for one week.
This Storybook Trail will be located at Marr Park.
There is no fee for this event and it is NOW EXTENED
for the entire month of April.

Warrensburg Warrior Run
Become a Warrensburg Warrior and earn your Warrior
T-Shirt by completing different obstacles along a route!
Obstacles are designed to be both fun and challenging,
and will be sure to bring out the warrior in you! Put on
the eye black and bring the whole family for this fun and
exciting race! Make sure to wear old clothes as you may
get a bit dirty! Race will start and end at the Johnson
County Fairgrounds.
Sign up as an individual or in teams of four. You are
competing side-by-side with the other competitors. The
fastest individual and team to complete all the obstacles
wins! *Teams must complete the obstacles together.
Central Missouri Baseball “Youth Team Day”
&
SCOTTS® MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL®
PITCH, HIT AND RUN™ COMPETETION
Join the Central Missouri Mules Baseball team and
Warrensburg Parks & Recreation for “Youth Team Day”
on Sunday, April 17, 2016, as the Mules play host to the
Lions from Missouri Southern State University at noon.
Area youth teams players and coaches, in team jersey
tops, will be provided free admission to the game.
Following the game, WPR and UCM Baseball will host
a free Scotts® Major League Baseball® Pitch Hit and
Run™ competition for area youth. The skills
competition is tentatively scheduled to begin at 4:00pm.
“Youth Team Day” and the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run
Competition are subject to change due to weather, please
contact WPR at 660-747-7178 to confirm both the
“Youth Team Day” and MLB Pitch, Hit & Run
schedule.
For the MLB Skills Competition:
Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8,
9/10, 11/12, 13/14. Ages are determined as of July 17,
2016 for the competition. All participants must bring a
copy of their birth certificate and have their parent
or guardian fill out a registration/waiver form prior

The City of Warrensburg Budget Cover
Photo Contest
The City of Warrensburg is conducting
a contest for photos of buildings, artwork or
land marks that are unique to Warrensburg and
the Warrensburg Community. The Contest is
open to students 13 through 19, and the top 3
pictures will be displayed on the cover of the
2017 City of Warrensburg Annual Budget.
Contestants are asked to submit photos labeled
“My Warrensburg” via email to the City Clerk
at [email protected]. Contest ends
May 31st 2016. All entries must be
accompanied by a completed entry form. The
forms may be obtained at
