Glenveagh National Park & Castle
is the premier visitor attraction in
Donegal. The castle, built in 1869, is set amongst
beautifully maintained gardens, and offers magnificent mountain
views, raised boglands, and tremendous lakes & woodlands across
the 16,000 acres of National Park.
Donegal Town is a historic town,
home of the O’Donnell Clan and
Donegal Castle, and is situated just
on the edge of Donegal Bay. The centre of town, known locally as
‘The Diamond’, is surrounded by bustling cafes, shops, and bars.
Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal, stands at 2,464
feet in a majestic position amongst the bog land, overlooking
Dunlewey Lough and the mysterious Poison Glen.
Dunlewey Lakeside Centre is a unique, quaint opportunity to
visit a traditional Irish Homestead. Our guided tour brings us back
in time to the middle of the last century and even provides us with
a traditional tweed weaving demonstration.
Dunfanaghy is a picturesque seaside village located at the head
of Sheephavan Bay. The village is
renowned for it’s lovely holiday
atmosphere and the friendly
‘buzz’ during the summer
months.
Killybegs Harbour has long been acknowledged as Ireland’s
leading fishing port, and a stroll along the pier gives a chance to
admire the fishing boats, net menders, and perhaps even catch a
glimpse of the seals.
Slieve League Sea Cliffs are said to be the highest and one
of the finest marine cliffs in the whole of Europe, and with a six
hundred metre drop down into the wild Atlantic waves below they
create a breathtaking, spectacular view.
Ardara is a designated Heritage Town, home of the ‘Donegal
Tweed’, and one of Ireland’s best known traditional centres of
tweed & knitwear production.

THE SUNDAY
TOUR
THE GIANT’S CAUSEWAY or
THE INISHOWEN PENINSULA
(alternating every second Sunday)
The Giant’s Causeway, a World
Heritage Site and the most famous natural
wonder in Northern Ireland, is a geological
phenomenon of about 40,000 interlocking columns – a truly unique
site, full of myths and legends. Our tour also encompasses visits to:
Bushmills Whiskey Distillery, reputed to be the oldest licensed
distillery in the world, being given legal status in 1608.
The Historic Derry Walls, approx. 1.5km in circumference, form a
walk-way around Derry – the only remaining completely walled city
in Ireland and one of the finest examples
of walled cities in Europe.
The Inishowen Peninsula is home to deep water harbours, old
monuments, and true Irish folklore – a delightful destination for any
tourist. Our tour encompasses visits to:
Doagh Famine Village, an outdoor museum that depicts local life
from the Famine in the 1840’s through to the present day.
Malin Head, a famous iconic headland and Ireland’s most northerly
point.
An Grianan Aileach, one of the finest stone forts in Ireland built on
