Welcome
T
he Beta Iota Boule of Sigma Pi Phi in partnership with the Boule Foundation
(a 501(C) 3 organization) is hosting a professional and leadership development
training session -- the Summer Executive Workshop 5.0 (SEW) on August 14
2015. Net proceeds from the event will be used to support non-profit organizations
that share Beta Iota Boule’s mission of uplifting under-served communities through
education, access to healthcare and the arts.
In its fifth season, the Summer Executive Workshop series provides professional
development and networking opportunities for young and seasoned professionals,
senior executives and board members. The breadth and depth of the offerings within
this workshop series are unique and have been rated highly by past participants. Prior
attendees have represented a broad array of professions and industries including
manufacturing, professional services, media and entertainment, financial services, law,
medicine and academia. This Summer Executive Workshop offers an opportunity to
be professionally enriched while supporting worthy non-profit organizations in the
New England region and beyond. Through this collaboration, we have been able to
contribute $75,000 to organizations, including: Hospice for St. Joseph in Haiti, The
Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, African American Heritage Trail of Martha’s
Vineyard, The Amistad Center for Art & Culture and in support of indigent care for
the native and minority populations at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. The focus
of the SEW is to create opportunity for unique engagement between our world-class
industry leaders and our talented participants of senior executives, entrepreneurs, board
members and other professionals.
This year these attendees will be engaged on a wide range of topics including,
Leadership: Delivering Value for Customers, Affordable Healthcare and Angel Investing.
Summer Executive Workshop 5.0 will provide opportunities for executive learning
and unique opportunities for networking with a diverse group of executives and
aspiring leaders. This year’s panel on Corporate Boards is being co-sponsored by the
Executive Leadership Council, the nation’s pre-eminent member based organization for
African-American CEOs and senior executives.

D. Keith Pigues
Keynote Speaker
K
eith is a thought leader and widely sought after speaker and
advisor on company growth and strategic marketing. His
experience includes c-suite executive leadership positions in
marketing and strategy. He also served as a tenured professor of Management, Dean
of the School of Business and Senior Academic and Administrative Officer at North
Carolina Central University. He is co-author of Winning with Customers: A Playbook
for B2B (Pigues and Alderman, Wiley & Sons, 2010). He has more than 25 years of
experience in marketing, strategic planning and sales leadership at firms ranging from
the Fortune 100 to mid-market private equity backed firms in a range of industries,
including information technology, healthcare, agriculture biotechnology, automotive,
commercial printing and building products. Keith has held executive positions in
marketing and strategy at CEMEX, RR Donnelley, ADP and Honeywell International.
Keith serves on the board of directors of the Office of Mortgage Settlement Oversight
and the Research Triangle Foundation. He also serves on the board of advisors for
the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute for Private Enterprise. He previously served as
an independent director for Prometheus Group, a private-equity backed software
company, as well as a board member for the Business Marketing Association (BMA),
where he was board chairman.
Keith’s accomplishments and contributions as a business executive, speaker, thought
leader and author have been recognized by Best Seller TV, the C-Suite Book Club, Inc.
Magazine, Frost & Sullivan, Canadian Marketing Association, Consortium for Graduate
Study in Management, BtoB Magazine, Business Marketing Association, American
Marketing Association, Yahoo! Finance and CNBC. Black Enterprise Magazine named
Keith as one of its top executives in marketing and advertising for 2011. B2B Magazine
recognized him as a leading senior marketing practitioner and a member of “Who’s
Who in B-to-B” in 2007 and 2010. He was awarded the Frost & Sullivan Marketing
Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
Keith received his MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business
School, where he participated in an international exchange program at Manchester
University School of Business in the United Kingdom. He also received a BS in electrical
engineering from Christian Brothers University.

Jerry Burris
J
erry Burris serves on the board of London based Pentair plc
(publically traded NYSE:PNR) and West Chester, PA based
Schramm Inc. (privately held by GenNx360 Capital Partners).
He also serves as a Retained Advisor to GenNx360 Capital Partners.
He is the former President & CEO, Associated Materials Inc. and Segment President
Barnes Group Inc. Prior to joining Barnes Group, Mr. Burris held a number of senior
management positions at General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), serving as President
and CEO, GE Advanced Materials Quartz and Ceramics. Mr. Burris also served as
General Manager, Global Services at GE Health Care Technologies, General Manager,
Global Sourcing at GE Industrial Systems and Product General Manger – Dishwashers/
Disposers at GE Appliances. Mr. Burris holds a B.S.E.E. degree from Purdue University
and an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He is a
life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity.
Spencer Disher
S
pencer Disher has participated as an investor in several startups
and is currently a member of Charlotte Angel Investors, LLC
which has funded four early stage startups. As a member, he
has served on the groups due diligence committee and acted in a
mentoring capacity for various entrepreneurs. Mr. Disher has also acted as a coach
for City Startup Labs, an entrepreneurial boot camp geared at African-American male
millennial.
Mr. Disher most recently served as Senior-Vice President with Natixis SA, a France based
multinational financial banking institution. At Natixis, SA, Mr. Disher co-managed the
startup and ongoing operations of ABM Corp a fixed income money management firm
with over $5.8 billion in assets.
Mr. Disher graduated from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management
with an MBA in Finance and B.S. Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from
the University of Wisconsin. As an active member in the community, Mr. Disher has
served on the boards of several not-for-profits including: The United Methodist City
Society, Five Points Mission, Beta Zeta Boule Foundation and Pocantico Hills School
Foundation.

Elizabeth Evans, M.D.
D
r. Evans has been a taking care of patients in the Greater
Hartford area for over fifteen years. She believes every
patient deserves full access to high quality medical care,
the best medical specialists and works hard to give the individual
attention each patient deserves and needs when making serious healthcare decisions.
Preventative Medicine and employee health & wellness is her passion.
Since 2003, she has been an Attending Physician at both Hartford Hospital and St
Francis Hospital & Medical Center and also a Clinical Instructor in the Department
of Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine teaching residents
and medical students in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. She completed her
residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine
and received her Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers University – Robert Wood Johnson
Medical School.
Currently, besides her primary care practice in Bloomfield and West Hartford, she is
also the medical director of both an onsite industrial health clinic and a occupational
health clinic in the Greater Hartford area. She is also a provider for the CDC funded
WISEWOMAN and Susan G Komen Breast Cancer outreach programs which helps to
provide lifesaving prevention & early detection education with free screenings for heart
disease, breast, cervical and colorectal cancer to medically underserved communities.
She has done radio commercials on “Hypertension-the silent killer” for Pfizer and
appeared on the Connecticut Public Television Network’s “Women’s Health, Heart
Disease & Cancer Prevention” and the “Confronting Colorectal Cancer” programs in
collaboration with the CT Department of Public Health “Stay in the Game”
wellness series.
She loves participating in community health and wellness events as well as giving
corporate onsite talks. She enjoys mentoring minority students interested in a career in
medicine and supporting fundraising events for the arts.

Alex Figueroa
A
lex Figueroa is an investment advisor in Goldman Sachs’
Investment Management Division, covering a select group
of individuals, foundations, and endowments. Alex is based
in the firm’s New York City Office. Alex began his career at the firm
in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Alex worked for GE in their Financial Management
Program.
Alex received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University at Albany, where
he lettered in Football, and received an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at
Dartmouth, where he was awarded a full-tuition fellowship. Alex is actively involved
in Goldman Sachs’ recruiting efforts at Tuck, and works as a Corporate Agent for the
school’s Annual Giving campaign.
James Michel
J
ames is currently the Director of Operations for Access Health
CT, which is implementing the Affordable Care Act in the state of
CT. Prior to joining Access Health CT, he was an Audit Director
in Aetna’s Finance Department for over 8 years. Before that, he spent
9 years as Chief Financial Officer for the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC)
in Hartford CT. Before the MDC he spent 10 years working for the New York State
Insurance Department as a Senior Insurance Auditor.
James has an MBA from the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford. He
received B.S. in Accounting from Brooklyn College. He also received has done extensive
graduate work in Accounting and Economics at Brooklyn College.
James lives in Bloomfield, CT with his wife and three sons. He is very active in the
community. He served on the Bloomfield Board of Education for ten years. He is the
current Chairperson for the Board of Trustees for Jumoke Academy, a high performing
Charter School in Hartford, CT. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of
Outreach To Haiti, a nonprofit organization in Connecticut that operates a medical
clinic in Port-Au-Prince Haiti as well as manage the educational sponsorship of over
300 students in Haiti.

Martin Nesbitt
M
r. Nesbitt serves as Co-CEO of The Vistria Group, LLC,
a Chicago-based investment company focused on the
education, healthcare and financial services industries.
Prior to co-founding Vistria, Mr. Nesbitt served as CEO of The
Parking Spot, an owner and operator of off-airport parking facilities. Mr. Nesbitt
conceptualized and co-founded the Parking Spot and was responsible for running all
strategic and operating aspects of the Company. Mr. Nesbitt sold the Company in 2011
for $370 million. Prior to launching the Parking Spot, Mr. Nesbitt was an officer of the
Pritzker Realty Group, L.P.
Prior to joining Pritzker, Mr. Nesbitt was an Investment Manager at LaSalle Partners
with a variety of responsibilities including investment management for regional retail
properties and management and leasing for office projects and parking.
In his various leadership capacities, Mr. Nesbitt has been successful at guiding executive
teams toward the achievement of goals established to maximize returns on his
investments. Mr. Nesbitt’s approach to the off-airport parking business was heralded
by industry insiders as extremely innovative and has been recognized in national
publications like The New York Times, USA Today, Entrepreneur Magazine, and Fortune
Small Business Magazine.
Mr. Nesbitt currently serves on the Board of Directors of Jones Lang LaSalle and Norfolk
Southern Corporation. He is a Trustee of Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art and
serves as Chairman of the Barack Obama Foundation. He is former Chairman of the
Board of the Chicago Housing Authority and a former board member of the Chicago
2016 Olympic Committee. Mr. Nesbitt served as treasurer of President Barack Obama’s
2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns.
Mr. Nesbitt has a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of
Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree and honorary doctorate from Albion College,
Albion, Michigan.

Dr. Kola Olofinboba
D
r. Olofinboba is a Managing Partner at Fairview Capital,
and is involved in a broad set of investment, business
development and governance activities at the firm. He serves
on the advisory boards of several private equity and venture capital
partnerships in Fairview’s fund portfolios as well as on the board of directors of the
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT and the National Association of
Investment Companies (NAIC).
Prior to joining Fairview, Dr. Olofinboba was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey &
Company, serving U.S. and global clients in healthcare and private equity. He has also
practiced medicine as a board-certified internist/hospitalist and assistant professor at
the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT.
Dr. Olofinboba received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and
an MBA in Financial Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where
he was a Robert Toigo Fellow.
Quintin E. Primo III
M
r. Primo serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Capri Investment Group, a group of affiliated companies
providing real estate investment management services
globally to pension fund and other institutional investors. Active
in the real estate industry for over 30 years, he has challenged conventional wisdom
in developing new markets for investment. Under his leadership Capri was an early
investor in US institutional property markets and is now expanding internationally in
the emerging regions of Africa, India and the Middle East.
He is co-chairman of the Primo Center for Women and Children, was founding
chairman of the Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness, and is a board member of the
Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He received his MBA from Harvard University and
a BS in Finance with honors from Indiana University. In addition to public company
board experience, he is often featured in major news publications and is a business
contributor to CNBC. He resides in the Chicago area with his family.

Dmitri Stockton
M
r. Dmitri Stockton is a seasoned business leader with an
extensive background in financial services that has held
leadership positions in banking, asset management,
commercial real estate, mortgage finance and insurance. He is a
Senior Vice President at GE Company and is one of their Top 40 Executives serving
on the Corporate Executive Council. Mr. Stockton is currently Chairman, President
and CEO of GE Asset Management, a global asset manager with approximately $120
billion in assets under management. His business serves a wide range of clients and
investors including corporate pension plan sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, insurance
companies, public funds and endowments. In this role, Mr. Stockton oversees an array
of strategies managed by the firm that span US and international equities, fixed income,
real estate, private equity and hedge funds investments.
During his nearly 30 year career, that has included ten years abroad, Mr. Stockton has
overseen large-scale operations and crafted strategies that have resulted in market share
gains, acquisitions and integrations, cost reduction, loss management and business
portfolio rationalization.
Mr. Stockton previously spent 24 years at GE Capital where, in his last assignment
as President and CEO of the $5 billion revenue Global Banking business, he led the
unit’s restructuring during the financial crisis of 2008. Business operations of this
40,000-employee division spanned 26 markets in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Mr. Stockton is a member of the Board of Directors for Deere & Company, the market
leading global manufacturer of agriculture, construction and forestry equipment. He
serves as a Director on the non-profit boards of A Better Chance, GE Foundation and
Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Mr. Stockton is also a member of the Executive
Leadership Council and the Executive Advisory Council at North Carolina Agricultural
& Technical State University School of Business and Economics where he graduated
Magna Cum Laude in Accounting. He is a former Board Director for Synchrony
Financial, Garanti Bank, Bank BPH and BAC Credomatic Bank.

Willie E. Woods
P
rior to co-founding ICV, Mr. Woods was a Vice President
in investment banking at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown. Mr.
Woods was responsible for deal origination and execution
of merger and acquisition, leverage loan, high yield bond and
equity transactions with a focus on financial sponsors in the basic industries. Prior to
Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, Mr. Woods worked in private equity at Levmark Capital,
investment banking at Lehman Brothers Inc. and corporate banking at NBD Bank.
Mr. Woods serves on the Board of Directors of the Apollo Theater Foundation and
The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City. Mr. Woods has a BA degree in accounting
from Morehouse College and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard
Business School.

neeland Youngblood is a founding partner of Pharos Capital
Group, a private equity firm that focuses on providing growth
and expansion capital/buyouts in health care, business
services and opportunistic investments.
He is a director of Energy Future Holdings Corp. (formerly TXU) and Mallinckrodt
Pharmaceuticals. He is a former director of Burger King Corporation, Starwood Hotels
and Lodging and Gap Inc.
Mr. Youngblood graduated from Princeton University with an A.B in Politics/Science in
Human Affairs and earned an M.D. degree from the University of Texas, Southwestern
Medical School. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Patricia Miller Zollar
P
atricia Miller Zollar is a shareholder and Managing Director
of Neuberger Berman. Neuberger Berman is an independent
asset management firm with over $250 billion of assets under
management. Within Neuberger, Ms. Zollar is the portfolio manager
of the NorthBound Emerging Managers Private Equity Fund, a
private equity fund which invests in emerging manager private equity partnership
interests and co-investments. Before the management buyout of Neuberger, Ms.
Zollar co-headed and co-founded the Lehman Brothers Partnership Solutions Group
(“PSG”), a Wall Street business focused on developing strategic opportunities with
women- and minority-owned financial services firms. The innovation of the Partnership
Solutions Group was recently chronicled in a case at the Harvard Business School.
Before rejoining Lehman Brothers in 2004, Ms. Zollar was a vice president in the Asset
Management Division of Goldman Sachs.
Ms. Zollar began her career as a Certified Public Accountant in the Audit Division
of Deloitte & Touche. She received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her
B.S., with highest distinction, from North Carolina A&T State University, where she
serves as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. North Carolina A&T is one of the
16-member public universities of the University of North Carolina System. Ms. Zollar
is an executive director of the National Association of Investment Companies and The
Apollo Theater and also a member of the Executive Leadership Council. She and her
husband, Al Zollar, and their daughter reside in historic Harlem in New York City.

Founded in 1904, Sigma Pi Phi is the oldest
Greekletter organization comprised primarily of
