An apartment in Hampton
Row offers the very best
in contemporary living
Quintessentially
Barnes
02
Situated in a delightful position
directly overlooking Barnes
Common, not far from the centre
of Barnes village and the River
Thames, Hampton Row is an
exclusive gated development
comprising just nine elegant
townhouses and twelve luxury
apartments in a sought-after
and highly convenient location.
Built in traditional style, the
stylish homes are a short walk from
Barnes Station which offers direct
connections by train to Clapham
Junction, Waterloo and a choice of
London Underground Stations for
easy access to all parts of the capital.
An affluent area in its own right,
Barnes nestles on the banks
of the River Thames, with Putney,
Richmond and Wimbledon among
its many smart neighbours. The
area is hugely popular with young
professionals and families alike,
thanks to the extremely high quality
of life it offers.
An elegant apartment in
Hampton Row offers the very
best in contemporary living, with
light and airy spaces and luxury
fixtures and fittings, in one of the
capital’s most desirable locations.
03
The high specification
architect-designed
apartments are constructed
in traditional style using
quality materials
Designed
for life
This exciting contemporary
development comprises three
3-bedroom duplex apartments and
nine 2-bedroom apartments, each
benefiting from private outside
space, secure underground parking
and an impressive roof-top garden
for residents’ use, along with a
communal lift and bicycle store.
The high specification architectdesigned apartments are constructed
in traditional style, using quality
materials including reconstituted
stone, bricks and mortar, with solid
wood double-glazed windows.
04
Built with 21st Century living
firmly in mind, each elegant home
features a generous open plan living
and entertaining space, spacious
bedrooms, luxury bathrooms, private
balconies or terraces, as well as an
intercom entry phone for added
peace of mind.
All apartments come with an nhbc
10-year warranty and comply with
level three of the bre Code for
Sustainable Homes.
05
Quality
and style
Internally, these luxury homes have
been fitted out in style. Each
apartment features quality wooden
flooring in the living areas and
luxury carpeting in the bedrooms,
along with a contemporary German
kitchen from By Design, with
top-of-the-range Miele appliances,
quality Silestone worktops and
integrated led lighting throughout.
Bathrooms and cloakrooms feature
quality sanitaryware by Villeroy
& Boch, with stylish Cosmopolitan
taps and shower fittings from Grohe.
However, it’s the clever attention
to detail that really sets these
homes apart, like the zoned
underfloor heating, the thoughtful
introduction of a hot water
circulator to ensure that the water
in the hot taps stays warm when not
in use, or the Quooker ® boiling
water tap which eliminates the need
for a kettle – just a few examples of
the many little touches that make
these stylish apartments so special.

CAFÉ CULTURE REIGNS SUPREME
IN THIS AFFLUENT PART OF
SOUTH WEST LONDON
On your doorstep
12
Cafés
Food
Café culture reigns supreme in this
affluent part of South West London
and the area boasts a wide choice of
venues in which to while away the
hours. Favourite haunts include the
truly delightful Orange Pekoe in
White Hart Lane, which serves an
exquisite afternoon tea, and Gail’s,
a mouth-watering artisan bakery on
Church Road, which not only bakes
a wide range of delicious breads but
is the perfect place for morning
coffee or a leisurely lunch. For
interior addicts, the café at Karavan
is hard to beat. Set in a little
courtyard off Church Road, it’s the
perfect place to refuel after browsing
the exclusive range of luxury
furniture and accessories on display
in this eclectic independent store.
A number of larger supermarkets,
including Waitrose and Sainsbury’s,
are conveniently located close by,
but true foodies will delight in the
plethora of quality independent
retailers in the local area.
Establishments of particular note
include a new branch of London’s
fashionable butchers, The Ginger
Pig, The Real Cheese Shop, with
its vast range of delicious cheeses,
greengrocer extraordinaire Two Peas
in a Pod, and The Barnes Fish Shop.
Barnes Farmers’ Market on
Saturdays is also well worth a visit,
selling everything from organic and
free range meats, fresh fish, fruit
and vegetables, fine bakery products
and delicious juices.
13
Pubs & restaurants
Sports & leisure
Barnes boasts far too many pubs
and eateries to name them all
individually, but fans of the
archetypal village pub will adore
The Sun Inn overlooking Barnes
village pond. Music lovers head to
The Bull’s Head, a popular riverside
pub, to enjoy its nightly live jazz acts
and authentic Thai food courtesy of
Nuay’s restaurant in the former
stables behind, and The Brown Dog,
in the backstreets of Barnes, is a
delightful gastropub with a pleasant
garden. If romance is in the air, head
to Annie’s Barnes on White Hart
Lane, whilst Indian Zilla on Rocks
Lane packs a punch with a spicy
pan-Indian menu.
Close to Hampton Row, The
Roehampton Club is one of the
finest private sports clubs in London
and boasts an excellent golf course
and a full range of leisure facilities,
whilst nearby Richmond Park is
home to a further golf course. Those
looking to tone up could check out
Movers & Shapers or Educogym
and Barnes Common is perfect for
a morning jog, as well as being the
location of Barnes Common Cricket
Club where amiable non-league
cricket is played. Barnes Sports
Club also offers cricket, along with
squash, tennis and hockey, whilst
Rosslyn Park FC has a thriving
rugby scene. Walkers and cyclists
will delight in the many scenic
routes around Barnes – the Thames
Path being a particular highlight –
and after all that exercise, movie
buffs can make a beeline for
Olympic Studios Cinema to relax
in front of the latest film releases,
popcorn in hand.
15
Out and about
16
Parks aplenty
A shopper’s delight
Arts and culture
Barnes is ideally situated close to
some of the largest green open
spaces in the capital. Go deer
spotting, horse riding or cycling
in Richmond Park, blow the
cobwebs away with a long walk
on Wimbledon Common, or get
inspiration for your garden with a
day out at stunning Kew Gardens.
They’re all close by when you live
at Hampton Row. Slightly further
afield, the royal palace of Hampton
Court is the perfect destination for
a great day trip. After exploring the
palace itself, the extensive and
delightful gardens, home to the
world’s most famous maze, are
well worth a visit.
Shopaholics are well catered for in
this part of South West London.
In addition to the eclectic range
of speciality shops in Barnes village
itself, the delights of Putney High
Street, Wimbledon village,
Richmond and Kingston are all
close by. If shopping malls are more
your thing, then Westfield, a vast
shopping centre in White City,
presents copious opportunities for
you to part with your hard-earned
cash, whilst fashionistas will adore
the boutiques along King’s Road,
as well as Knightsbridge, home to
Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
London is a creative hub for both
new and established artists, along
with music, dance and theatre
productions. The capital’s thriving
arts scene attracts thousands of
people from across the world each
year. The Tate Modern, Theatreland,
the Royal Opera House, the Science
Museum, the Natural History
Museum and the Southbank Centre
are just some of the wide range of
exciting destinations within easy
reach of Hampton Row. Closer to
home, nearby Kew Gardens hosts a
series of popular outdoor concerts
which included performances by
Simple Minds, Jools Holland and
Elvis Costello in the summer.

a number of convenient bus routes
close by and offers easy access to
Heathrow Airport by car via the
