Exam Timetable
The schedule for the KS2 exams (pupils in Years 3 – 6) is as follows:
Monday 30th November: Reading Comprehension
Tuesday 1st December: Maths (including mental maths), Spanish
Wednesday 2nd December: Writing, Spanish, (and a second Maths paper for Year 6 pupils only)
Thursday 3rd December: Science
Friday 4th December: Spelling (Years 3 and 4), Spelling Punctuation and Grammar (Years 5 and 6)
There will also be a French exam for pupils in Years 5 and 6 and a Cultura exam for pupils in Year 6.
Exam results will be sent home on Monday 14th December.
Christmas Gifts
On Monday 14th December all pupils should bring a gift for a companion in their class, well
wrapped in Christmas paper. Each child will bring home a note beforehand explaining WHO they
should buy the gift for. The value of the gift should be around 8 - 10 Euros.

CARITAS
Children from Nursery to Year 6 are also asked also to bring a small item for a
disadvantaged child on Monday 14th December. This year Caritas have requested items
that can be used at school (for example, pencils, crayons, pencil cases, notebooks, etc.).
The gifts should be wrapped. They will be received by Caritas at the church of Santa
María Magdalena and will be distributed to underprivileged children in Madrid.
Lastly on Wednesday 16th December children in Year 3 – Year 6 are asked to bring
donations of toiletries and other related items (for example: soap, shampoo, tissues,
gloves, etc.) The items will be taken by the children to the church for distribution to
those in the local area who are facing real necessity.
Thank you for your generous support in helping the disadvantaged at Christmas time.
Church Services
Confession will take place for Religion pupils in Years 5 and 6 on the morning of Wednesday 9th December.
The Christmas Mass for pupils in Years 3 – 13 will take place at 9:30am on Wednesday 16th December.
Christmas Shows
The Christmas shows will take place at the theatre “Colegio Cardenal Spinola” in C/Cardenal Marcelo Spinola
on the following dates:

Thursday 10th December at 6:45pm – Ballet (Years 2 – 6), Foundation Stage and Key Stage One
Christmas Shows (Nursery – Year 2)

Tuesday 15th December at 6:45pm – Key Stage Two Christmas Shows (Years 3 – 6)
Form teachers will let you know what costumes the children will need to wear.
Carol Singing
On Thursday 17th December the children in Year 4 and the choir children from Year 3 will be going to the old
people’s home in Alcobendas (Sanitas Residencia La Moraleja) to sing Christmas carols to the residents.We
will leave school at 10:15 am and return at approximately 12:45 pm in time for lunch.
Uniform is required, but we should also like the pupils to wear a red Santa hat, if possible.
Holidays
School will be closed on Monday 7th December as it is a holiday for Madrid schools and Tuesday 8th
December as it is a national holiday.
We will break up for the Christmas holidays on Friday 18th December at 4:00pm. (Extra-curricular activities as
usual.)
We will return on Friday 8th January at 8:35 am.

Show:

Marcelo Spinola, s/n by 6:30 pm. Children arrive in costume as
required.
Key Stage Two Captains and Monitors must attend – wearing full
uniform and blazer.
Year 6 Roller Skating excursion
Children (N-Y6) to bring gifts for ISM gift exchange
Children to bring a gift of stationery for underprivileged children
Reports sent home for children in Nursery and Reception
Christmas show rehearsal for Key Stage Two pupils 9:30am – 1:00pm
