BIO-TREATMENT
FOR URINALS
DESCRIPTION
Nu-Bio Block™ is a drop-in bio-treatment
for urinals that eliminates urine smells by
slowly diffusing a bacterial culture.
Completely biodegradable, paradichlorobenzene
free and does not cause build-ups in drains and
canalisations. Nu-Bio Block™ is entirely safe for
users, equipments and the environment and has
a neutral pH.
APPLICATION
Nu-Bio ScrubTM is ideal for urinals.
Directions
Place one Nu-Bio BlockTM in each urinal. Replace
when block has dissolved. It can also
be placed into a screen before placing it into the
urinal.

SO GREEN?
There are many claims in the market that products are “biodegradable” but often these
claims are unsubstantiated by competent, reliable evidence. A product cannot be
called “biodegradable” unless 60% of the product breaks down and returns to nature
within 28 days. We can confidently say that our cleaning range is green because
Innu-Science, a world leader in biodegradable cleaning products, have been around for
20 years and our products break down by 90% within 14 days!
WHAT IS IT MADE OF?
FERMENTATION EXTRACT:
Fermentation extract contains inter alia Enzymes which are NOT alive.
Enzymes are complex chemicals produced by Bacteria. They cannot
reproduce, or actually consume waste. They speed up chemical
reactions without getting used themselves. However, enzymes are all
proteins, and some enzymes attack proteins.
Therefore, enzyme usefulness is limited by digestion from other
enzymes. As enzymes are not capable of consuming waste materials as
all they can do is convert complex wastes into simple wastes. Bacteria
are still needed to consume the waste material – enzymes alone will not
do the job. An enzyme product only has half of the tools necessary to
get the job done right.
BACTERIA:
Innu-Science Bacteria are 100% natural, safe and non-pathogenic.
Innu-Science Bacteria are not genetically engineered or altered in any
way. Since bacteria both degrade complex waste and consume the
by-products, less pollution is discharged to the environment. Bacteria
also consume phosphate, ammonia and nitrates. This improves water
quality in lakes, ponds and the groundwater. Bacteria are the environmentally superior solution, thus Nature’s own Cleaners.
SURFACTANTS:
Cleaning products all contain at least surfactants. These surfactants
help “wet” a surface – even if it is soiled and greasy. They also emulsify
the greasy deposits. Out of concern for balance and protecting natural
ecosystems, Innu-Science uses combinations of petroleum-based and
plant-based surfactants.
Innu-Science uses only surfactants that are readily biodegradable with
or without oxygen – Ultimate Biodegradability. Innu-Science always
uses blends of surfactants that achieve the best ratio of performance
to eco-friendliness.
HOW DOES THIS NEW
CLEANING RANGE WORK?
The new cleaning range is not
chemically-based at all; instead it is
bacteria-based. These bacteria come
all the way from the Canadian forests,
where they live in the soil and help
organic matter break – down. They are
good bacteria with a big appetite for
rubbish as they literally “eat” the
dirt away!
This is great news for the user of the
cleaning product too. Because these
products are genuinely biodegradable,

Treating grease traps:
Manual treatment:
At the end of operations, pour the daily dose of Nu-TrapTM in a floor drain up stream from the section to be treated.
Add the required amount of water to ensure the product reaches the grease trap.
Automatic treatment with the Nu-Air SystemTM:
Program the automatic system (see your Nuwkem sales manager) to start working when operations. The aeration system must
stay on for as long as possible (4-6 hours) but must be turned off before operations begin again and water begins draining
through the pipes. Make sure the daily dose of Nu-TrapTM is injected directly in the liquid phase and in the compartment upstream
from the grease trap. The daily dose should be injected at the start of the aeration phase.
Treating pipes:
