was born was in
San Francisco,
California on
November 27, 1940. In the same
year Lee and his family moved
to Hong Kong. At the age of 12
Bruce enrolled at Le Salle College
(high school) and later took up
at St. Francis Xavier’s college
which was another high school.
During Lee’s childhood he was
in about120 movies. Other than
Kung Fu, Lee also trained in
Western boxing where he won the
1958 boxing championship. While
backstage at one of his movies,
Lee round house kicked a 150
pond punching bag and broke it.
Willard Smith, Jr. aka
Will Smith was born
on September 25,
1968 in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania When
Smith was in trouble, he used his
charming personality and quick
tongue to get him out of it. Smith
did not go to college even though his
SAT scores were very good. At the
age of 20 Smith was a millionaire.
He admitted to spending his money
in a very wasteful manner.. In 1990
Smith turned away from rapping to
acting. In 2005 at the AmerAican
Music Awards he won Best Pop/Rock
Male Artist. Also in 2008 he won the
Saturn Awards, Best Actor for the
movie “I Am Legend”.
Curtis Jackson III
aka 50 Cent was
born in Queens,
New York July 6,
1975. At the age
of eight his mother
was murdered. The
suspected reasoning behind this
was because she was a drug
dealer. During his childhood
Curtis met his idol Jam Master
Jay a member of the rap group
Run DMC. In his childhood
Curtis wanted to be a rapper
but instead he later became a
drug dealer sometimes bringing
in $150, 000 a month. An
award that 50 Cent has won
was in 2005 for Favorite Rap/
Hip Hop Album “The Massacre”
at the American Music Awards.
Calvin Broadus, Jr.
aka Snoop Dogg
was born on October
20, 1971 in Long
Beach, California.
He got his nickname “Snoop”
from his mother who thought he
looked like the character from
the “Peanuts” comics. Snoop was
arrested many times for drug
possession after he graduated
from high school. As a way to
escape his troubles he started to
make music. In 1990 Snoop was
charged with cocaine possession.
Another charge that Snoop was
charged with was gun possession
in 1993. In 1995 Snoop received
the Favorite Rap/Hip Hop
Artist at the American Music
Awards.
Carlos Ray Norris
aka Chuck Norris was
born on Mach 10, 1940
in Ryan, Oklahoma.
Chuck’s dad left him after his parents
divorced most likely because he was an
alcoholic. At the age of ten, Norris moved
away with his mother and brothers to
California. In 1958 Chuck married his high
school sweetheart, unfortunately this was
the same year he joined the U.S. Air Force.
After leaving the Air Force Chuck became
a popular action-film star in the 1980’s.
In 1990’s Norris starred Ain his own
television series “Walker, Texas Ranger”.
James Franco was
born on April
19, 1978 in Palo
Alto, California.
Franco’s parents
are Betsy and
Doug Franco. James’ first
important role was a lead role
in the TV program “Freaks and
Geeks.” Growing up James was
the oldest of three brothers
who were Dave Franco and
Tom Franco. During James’
acting career, he starred in
such movies as “Spider-Man” as
Harry Osborn and as himself in
“This is the End.” Some awards he
won are AFI Movie of the Year
for “127 Hours” in 2010, from the
American Film Institute. Also
in 2010 he won Satellite Awards,
Best Actor in a Motion Picture
Drama, “127 Hours”.
O’Shea Jackson aka Ice
Cube was born on June
15, 1969 in South Los
Angeles, California. Ice
had good parents that
taught him to avoid the drugs and violence
that was taking over his neighborhood. In
1989 Cube had joined a rap crew know as
N.W.A with young rappers known today
as Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, Eazy-E and MC
Ren. The group faced a lot of controversy
because of the lyrics that people thought
disrespected women. Unfortunately the
group split up in 1991. Even though he
is known as a rapper Cube is also a solo
actor, writer, and director. He also has a
movie production company called Cube
Vision.
Morgan Freeman was
born on June 1, 1937
in Memphis Tennessee.
Shortly after Morgan’s
birth he and his family
moved to Chicago. Morgan and his
family moved searching for a job while
they lived in a low income house. In 1955
Morgan joined the Air Force as a pilot,
and in 1959 he left. In 1967, the same
year he married Jeanette Adair Bradshaw,
Freeman’s big acting career break when
he landed a part in an all AfricanAmerican Broadway production of
“Hello, Dolly”. In 2000 Morgan had his
first kiss on a movie which was “Nurse
Betty”. In 2012 he won the People’s
Choice Award for Favorite Movie Icon.

Eminem was born
October 17, 1972
in Saint Joseph,
Missouri. Eminem’s father
abandoned him and his mother and
denied all of Eminem’s requests
to see him as a child. In 1996
Eminem’s professional career
started when he was signed to
Web Entertainment. In early 2008
Eminem kicked his drug addiction
to prescription drugs. He soon
returned to making music the same
year. From 2001 to 2010 Eminem has
won 10 American Music Awards.
From 2002 to 2012 Eminem also won
10 Billboard Music Awards.
