Youth Programs:
MISS ANGIE’S MUSIC – CYCLE OF SEASONS Independence through activities focusing on the seasons
of the year. Designed to build attention & self-expression
and include singing, chanting, moving, focused listening,
musical games, exploring musical instruments, creative
movement, and storytelling. Designed for child and adult.

BUDDING ARTISTS
Creative drawing and painting projects. Budding Artists
will learn more advanced drawing skills and paint each
week. Students must bring 11x14 water color pad, water

BROADWAY FAVORITES: MUSICAL THEATER CLASS
The themed class, Broadway Favorites, offers a musical
experience with a performance at the end of the session
which includes song and choreography. Students will
sing, dance, act, and create costumes and set design. No
previous acting or singing experience necessary.

BABYSITTERS/LATCHKEY PROGRAM
Join the Frankfort Fire Protection District for the
Babysitters/Latchkey program. This 7-week course is an
introduction to babysitting and is designed to prepare
babysitters for emergency situations. Participants will
learn communication skills, first aid, crime prevention,
fire prevention and basic childcare.
Pre-registration required.

JEWELRY FROM JUNK! USE REUSE RECYCLE NEW!
This is a fun class at which you’ll design new creations from
junk jewelry. Learn how to use jeweler’s tools to bend and cut
wire etc. Bring a broken piece of jewelry and I will show you
how to rework it or select from bins of beads, buttons, wire
and charms to make something new.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE NEW!
Join us in this fun interactive class learning basic American
Sign Language. Participants will learn the basic alphabet
finger spell, numbers, basic sign language and much more.
Games and crafts will be incorporated in the class for
additional hands on learning.

IRISH DANCE
Have fun while learning the fundamentals of Irish Dance.
Katie Hughes has been involved in Irish Dance for over twenty
years and she shares her expertise while carrying on this
wonderful Irish tradition. The small class sizes provides the
opportunity for more personal attention with each dancer.

Athletic Programs:
YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS
Junior tennis has a whole new attitude. Certified USPTA Professional
Cindy Heidkamp and her staff will work with every skill level of player.
Students will learn the sport of tennis using age and skill appropriate
racquets, nets and tennis balls. Every player will learn the basics
including grips, groundstrokes, volleys and serves. Students will also
be taught areas of the court, rules of the game and scoring. Loaner
racquets will be available at the first class.

certificate is required for new participants.
INTRO TO FENCING NEW!
Fencing develops balance, coordination, footwork and flexibility,
as well as learning new tactical strategies. Participants should wear
clothes that they can move around in, along with flat soled shoes.
This beginning class will focus on proper footwork, blade work and
strategies for attacking and counter attacking during the fencing bout.
Protective fencing masks, jackets and weapons will be provided.

CHICAGO WHITE SOX HITTING CLUB
The White Sox Hitting Club will cover plate coverage and stance,
stepping into a hitting position, swing plane/hand path, footwork and
balance. There are hitting “absolutes” that must be present in each
at bat to be successful. Become the best player you can be.

CHICAGO FIRE INDOOR DEVELOPMENT SOCCER LEAGUE
The Chicago Fire Soccer Club Staff will conduct an instructional
indoor soccer program focusing on the basic skills for the beginning
and novice player’s age 4 through 4th grade. A Red Chicago Fire/
Frankfort Park District jersey is needed and can be purchased at the
time of registration for $15. Shin Guards & shorts are required.
