Marshalling: All Finals
Drivers are expected to provide a marshal
for their own final(s).
I.E. In addition to your pit crew you will
need somebody to cover your marshal
point, during your final.
Consequently you do not marshal the final
after yours (you’ll probably need to return
the favour and marshal someone else’s
final however!)
Juniors Final 20:10 – 10 min

The last 3 remaining places in the Nitro Buggy Main Final will be taken by top 3 finishers of the ‘Last Chance Saloon’ (LCS) –
Finishers 7th-13th from Semis A&B will race this. If any car from the top 6 semi finishing positions fails technical inspection, the
additional place in the final will be awarded as per ‘LCS’ result.
Tips & Rules:
All cars are required to have 3 numbers, ensure you have correct ones! Available outside race
control.
- Don’t cut the track, you will be penalised, pit men when fuelling lift the car away from the pit
lane, you will cause a crash otherwise. Max 2 mechanics per driver in pit lane, when not
fuelling, mechanics stand back!
- We remind everyone to be careful and don’t put anyone in unnecessary danger!

The Venue
Rules:
The meeting will be run to rules based on BRCA rallycross rules, available here: BRCA Rally X Rules
(http://www.brca-rallycross.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/BRCA-Handbook-2015-FINAL.pdf)
Fuel: A total fuel tank capacity of 125 cubic centimetres maximum including all fuel line and filter up to the
carburettor is allowed. A maximum nitro percentage of 25% is allowed. Tanks can be checked in the DXR
gazebo/tent outside the entrance doors. There will be random Scrutineering at the event.
For the Modeltune sponsored E-buggy class, only Hard case LiPo batteries with a maximum voltage of 14.8V [4S]
are allowed. All LiPo batteries at the event must be charged in a LiPo Charging pouch / Bag.
Electric rules based on BRCA rules:
http://www.brca.org/sites/www.brca.org/files/library_files/TruggySec/E8%20Rules%202014%20Full.pdf
Incorrect numbers on a car will result in that car being black flagged, see Appendix i.
Any Failure to marshal will result in 1 lap taken off the driver’s fastest heat.
Every marshal position will have a broom, while waiting for a marshal to replace you, please sweep the
surface dust to the sides. This should help to keep grip levels up and encourage a blue groove.
The event is held on private property and the organisers reserve the right to exclude anyone from the event and/or
premises accordingly.
Etiquette:
We ask everyone attending to respect the no smoking rule (UK Law) inside the pit hall and the track. Please use
bins/trash bags provided, and generally keep your pit space clean! For campers please respect noise levels, and
no generators after 23:00.
Pits:
Please bring your own pit towel to protect the surface of the tables. We are tight for space,
so if you are able to pit outside (camper/car/tent) that would help ensure everyone has space to
work. Please remember the UK uses a 3 pin socket so bring a power adapter!

Appendix i – Drivers Briefing
The organisers of the NeoX Race would like to welcome you all to the race, in order to save time
we have prepared this drivers briefing, we urge you to familiarise yourself with it.
A printed timetable is available, we will endeavour to run as close as possible to this – however please keep an eye on
which heat is on so you are prepared!
Points of particular Importance:
1. The rostrum has two sets of stairs to ease and speed up flow. Drivers please enter from the far
side through a door. Wait to be allowed to enter the rostrum when the previous heat’s drivers have
departed. When your heat is finished leave by the 2nd set of stairs (towards race control).
2. Any questions should be directed to one of the DXR team; they will be recognised wearing
sweaters/High Viz with ‘DXR’ on the front & back. (includes First Aid related questions)
3. Charging tables are available in the pit hall – these are only for charging battery packs, no
plugging in of extension leads, kettles or electrical items. If found penalties will be handed out. All
LiPo batteries must be charged in a LiPo Charging pouch / Bag or risk immediate disqualification.
4. If you have a race problem or frequency problem please direct this to race control where
someone will try to solve the problem for you, if however you do not have the frequency that you
booked in with then this is your problem to solve. If you are found to be using the wrong frequency
you will be disqualified from the event.
5. Result Protests: Results of heats can be protested up to 30 minutes after the heat finishes.
Results of Finals can be protested up to 10 minutes after the Race Finish. See Race Control.
A 5 min grace timeout will only be granted in the main nitro buggy final – must be requested before
the mechanics are called to the starting grid.
6. Please make sure your personal transponder number is correct, if it is wrong you will lose your
race time.
7. Each car must always carry a minimum of three official race numbers while on track (this
applies to practice, qualifying, finals and semi practice), one on each side window and one on the
front window. Do not cut them in anyway. An incorrectly numbered car will be black flagged. Once
correctly fitted with numbers you may continue.
8. Do not cut the track at any time, (includes warm up & cool down) you will be penalised.
9. During Practice and qualifying, each driver must marshal the heat after, when you leave the
rostrum give your transmitter to your pit man, and go straight to your marshal position (your
number in the heat). Any failure to marshal will result in 1 lap taken off the driver’s fastest heat.
During Finals, drivers are expected to provide a marshal for their own final(s). I.E. In addition to
your pit crew you will need somebody to cover your marshal point, during your final.
Consequently you do not marshal the final after yours (you’ll probably need to return the favour
and marshal someone else’s final however!)
Failure to provide a marshal means you cannot start your final.

10. Do not switch on your transmitter until all cars from the race before are clear from the pitlane
and switched off.
11. A total fuel capacity of 125 cubic centimetres is allowed, random scrutineering will be in place.
- A driver can request to have his fuel tank capacity checked, without risk of penalty.
- If the tank is found to be over the limit you will lose the time from the race.
- For a 2nd offence you will be disqualified from the event.
12. For the Modeltune sponsored E-buggy class, only LiPo batteries with a maximum voltage of
14.8V [4S] are allowed.
All LiPo batteries must be charged in a LiPo Charging pouch / Bag or risk immediate
disqualification.
13. No shows (drivers not booked in) places will be re-allocated at 12:00 Friday unless confirmed
on the day or prior to the event.
14. #14 is the unwritten rule…
15. Please bring your own pit towel to protect the surface of the tables. Due amount of
participants, pit space in the hall may be tight, please observe the allocated space, and if you can
pit outside (car/tent/van) please feel free to do so.
- No smoking in the pit hall, track or any of the college buildings. (UK Law)
- Please use bins (trash cans) provided for rubbish (trash).
- Use your head when driving, let faster cars through.
- Max 2 mechanics per driver in pit lane.
- The Halls (track & pitting) close maximum 1 hour after racing finishes.
