Basic information about the school
The Primary School Zlín, Mostní was founded in 1. 9. 1981.
Due to organizational changes and the gradual loss of children in 2000 was
merged with the 1st Special School in Zlín - Prštné.
On 1. 1. 2010 was the school attached to a primary school to a health centre working in the children's department of the Regional Hospital T. Bati, Zlin.
Because of this change, the school was renamed to:
Primary School Zlín, Mostní
Last years there is a gradual reduction in the number of students in the school.
In the school year 2013/2014 are 62 students , with them works in 8 classes 1st
and 2nd degree ,12 special education teachers and one governess after-school
club.
The school has provided for the whole period of its existence the education to
pupils suffering from mental diseases. Our school broadens their knowledge,
skills, habits, which they can implement into their practical life.
The school is fully organized primary school with first and second degree, one
department after-school clubs and school dining room.
Students with disabilities are educated in 1st - 9th classes in the age from 7 to
15 years. In each class are educated maximum 14 students.
At the school is also one class of special primary school where are educated
pupils who suffer from heavier degree of mental disabilities.
Throughout the lessons, pupils are dedicated to special teachers who apply
individual approach to all pupils. Account of the different intellectual abilities of
students and diversity environment which they come from.

also working lessons that
takes place in specialized
workshops.
Here are students under the supervision of experienced teachers. Pupils learn
how to deal with the different working techniques and activities. This is
considered like their preparation for entry into professional schools.
Characteristics of the school curriculum
School educational program "The School for Life - I Can Deal with It" is made for
pupils with mild mental disabilities.
The scope of the curriculum is based on the need to adapt teaching to current
conditions and requirements of students.
The main objective is to achieve the highest possible level of basic education
with regard to the possibilities and capabilities of individuals.
The educational objectives of the school:
• It encourages pupils to independence, tolerance and respect.
• Develop and consolidate the knowledge acquired on the basis of specific
illustrative examples.
• Creating an atmosphere of mutual trust, openness and tolerance.
• Promotes a positive relationship with manual activities.
• Develop and directs the student's personality.
•Teach students to work independently and in a team.
• It encourages pupils to use information and communication technologies.
Laboratories
School equipment by the space page is fully suitable for the education and of
children with mild mental disabilities.
In our school we have three specialized classrooms with modern facilities:
• PC classroom are equipped with 13
computers.
• Two classrooms with interactive
blackboard.

Another part of the school is also the school dining room, where can all
employers of the school and
pupils have a lunch.
During July and August
2013/2014
underwent
extensive reconstruction of
the school kitchen and
dining room.
Since the school year
2013/2014 has already
begun catering in new,
renovated premises.
School club
For students first - fifth school class and students from special classes in the
school building established a department-school club, which provides morning
and afternoon activity.
Daycare is located on the first floor of the main building in one room, which is
the spatial resolution of the relaxing and working.
The main contents are:
• Active use of leisure time.
• Cooperation among children, friendly and decent behavior, a sense of fair play.
• Development of gross and fine motor skills during physical activity, competitions
and games.
• Increase self-esteem, self-care ability and independence, courage.
• Development of communication skills, expression and listening.
• Consolidation and dissemination of
knowledge.
Extracurricular clubs
In the afternoon, students can actively spend their leisure time in the school,
which offers extracurricular clubs.
Current offer of the school clubs in a given school year is based on the interests
of students and school options.

We organize for parents 2x a year in November and May afternoon handmade
creation entitled "Christmas Creation", "Gift for Mom".
School’s projects
Their creation, realization and evaluation make the lessons more effective;
motivate pupils and helps with the cooperation between teachers and pupils.

Guidance and counseling center
This centre with fully qualified stuff provides to pupils and their parents the
special education services, speech therapy and psychology and provide
methodological support for school teachers working with students with
disabilities.
