Dave Rach Named WIESA
Salesperson of the Year
Wausau Continues to Support
Dogs 4 Dogs
Congratulations to Dave Rach on being awarded salesperson of the year by the Wisconsin Electronic Security
Association (WIESA). Dave was nominated by one of
his long-term customers, Bob Kerman, who also owned
Electrolarm in Janesville and sold his company to Per
Mar in 1998. Dave exhibits integrity, customer service
focus, and attention to detail in quantities that are hard
to find. Congratulations, Dave!
The Wausau Office conducted its annual Dogs 4
Dogs Fundraiser for our local Law Enforcement Municipality “Everest Metro K-9 Unit.” In addition to
Everest Metro, we also raised money this year for
the Marathon County Sheriffs Department’s K-9 Unit.
This year our event took place on May 15th at IGA in
Schofield. The office was able to raise $900 this year
for them. Both Departments were very thankful for the
money and the money will be used to help feed their
dogs and pay for vet bills.
Security Officer Saves Life
South Bend, IN Officers Torrie Krontz and Dennis Gilbert’s quick response saved a man’s life. After being
notified that a driver needed medical attention via radio, Officer Krontz immediately notified Officer Gilbert
who called for Emergency assistance (EMS). They
were able to guide EMS to the driver’s location within
the large complex quickly. Upon arrival at the hospital,
the driver required emergency heart surgery. Great job
Officers Krontz and Gilbert! This is a perfect example of
our mission statement: Guardians of People, Property,
and Profits for Life!

Officer of the quarter
Clifford Harper
Clifford Harper Named 1st Qtr
2015 Security Officer of the
Quarter
“To me, he exemplifies the best in attitude and work ethic at Per Mar.” The Security Officer Recognition Program
underwent changes for the 2015 calendar year to better
recognize those that go above and beyond the scope of
their duties. Clifford Harper, employed with Per Mar since
2013, has gone above and beyond the call of duty according to Site Supervisor John Johansson. At CPI Card
Group in Roseville, MN, Harper has stayed on-post past
his shift time for many hours after call-offs. “Cliff looked
at the other occasions of call-offs as opportunities, rather
than setbacks, for him personally,” Johansson said. “He
keeps a good attitude and has never missed any of his
shifts as long as I’ve known him.” In one instance, Harper
worked a full 24 hours straight. In another, he worked 18
hours straight only to come back six hours later for another 12 hour shift. It is through the hard work and dedication
of Security Officers like Harper that Per Mar stand out.
Congratulations to Clifford Harper for receiving the Security Officer of the Quarter Award for 1Q 2015!

Iowa called the most
‘American’ state of them all
Internet, Internet, on the web, which state is the American-est of them all? Iowa, of course. A new totally
unscientific study by Estately declared lil’ ol’ us to be
the most American of all the 50 states. Iowa is “where
astronauts are born, and where the actual baseball
field in the movie ‘Field of Dreams’ is located,” the
Estately post read. “It produces the most bacon of
any state, and Iowa corn farmers fuel our country’s
obesity epidemic with sweet, sweet corn syrup.” Estately rated states based on eight factors: Bald eagles
per square mile, Olympic gold medals won per capita,
native astronauts per capita, fast food restaurants
per capita, Major League Baseball players per capita, percentage of homes with firearms, percentage of
Facebook users liking the United States of America.
Did we already say that this was unscientific? Iowa
didn’t come in first in any of the categories above,
but in whatever way Estately averaged the rankings
... yada, yada, yada ...we won. Iowa did come in third
in number of native astronauts per capita and sixth in
Olympic gold medals, so that’s cool. Also, we won!
“Instead of saying ‘It’s as American as apple pie,’ ” the
blog wrote, “we should be saying ‘It’s as American as
Iowa.’ ” Yes. Yes, you should.

On Wednesday, June 24th, the Wausau Office held
a branch party to celebrate our 15th anniversary.
The party was held in a private room at a longtime
customer of ours, “The Bar” in Rothschild. We had
pizza, chicken wings (with 5 different sauces), veggie trays, beverages, and of course, cake. We had
a great turnout, allowing employees of all divisions
and positions to mingle, connect, and celebrate.
The Wausau Office is looking forward to continued
success and having a great 2015.
