Riverside Country Club
Providing an exceptional golfing, dining
and social experience in an allencompassing culture of excellence and
creativity.
Welcome…
Riverside Country Club is a Private Golf
Course famous for its rare beauty and exciting
challenges, providing members with
extraordinary golf and social experiences. The
Club is dedicated to maintaining an
unsurpassed tradition of excellence in service
and sport. The panoramic prairie vistas and
outstanding view of the South Saskatchewan
River Valley has not changed since Riverside
Country Club was established in 1912 by a
group of Saskatoon businessmen who wanted a
golf facility that reminded them of Britain’s best
courses.
Members are treated to the best in golf and professional service. As a private Club, we only allow a limited number of
members in any year, so that golfers can be assured they will have access to their preferred tee times. An excellent
practice fairway, a three hole short course (complete with sand bunkers) and two large practice greens provide a
complete practice facility to work on your game. The Golf Shop is fully stocked with the latest in golf apparel and
equipment. The Head Golf Professional and his staff are available for private or group lessons, personal consultation
and corporate events.
Riverside enjoys reciprocal privileges with the Dundas Valley Club (Toronto area, ON), St. Charles Club (Winnipeg,
MB), the Windermere Club (Edmonton, AB), the Wascana Country Club (Regina, SK), the London Hunt &
Country Club (London, ON), Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club (Gormley, ON), Uplands Golf Club (Victoria,
BC), the Glencoe Golf & Country Club (Calgary, AB) and the Glendale Golf & Country Club (Winnipeg, MB). This
means that our members have complimentary playing privileges at those Clubs when visiting from out of town, as well
as the ability to bring guests at the guest rate of the club.
Riverside Country Club is more than a fabulous golf course. We offer a wide range of services and facilities to fulfil
the personal and business needs of its membership. The spacious dining room offers spectacular views of the course
and river valley. Our food services staff is top notch and takes great pride in making your visit to our clubhouse an
exceptional experience.
Currently the Club is in the fortunate position of having a membership waitlist. Your application form is enclosed in
this package, and please note that the waitlist application fee is 25% of the current joining fee of the club and is
deducted off the remaining joining fee at the time you are offered membership.
Thank you for your inquiry about membership at
Riverside Country Club!

and later became the Assistant Professional at Riverside in 1986-87. In 1990 he took the position of Head
Professional at the Waskesiu golf course, and in 1997, became General Manager and Head Professional. In
2000 Cam then moved back to Riverside to become the General Manager.
Cam’s wife Tammy is the Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon; and they have two
Children, Kenna and Graham. When he is not at work or spending time with his family, he enjoys Art.
Cam has been very fortunate to paint with a group known as “The Men Who Paint” who get together a few
times a year to travel, paint and showcase their work.
Course Superintendent Douglas Campbell
Doug was born and raised in Saskatoon, and began working at Riverside at only 14 years old in 1973. After
many years being a part of the Club he was promoted to the position of Assistant Superintendent in 1982.
In 1985 Doug advanced to become the Superintendent, a position he has held for the past 30 years. He has
served on the Board of Directors of the Sask Turfgrass Association for 30 years, and is the provincial Representative on the Canadian Turf Research Foundation.
Doug’s spouse Kim is an Accounting & Payroll Consultant, and also a part time greens mower along with
Doug’s daughter Lily.
Executive Chef/Food & Beverage Manager Darren Craddock
Darren was born in Toronto and moved to England when he was 14 with his mother and brother where he
finished school then was able to start his culinary apprenticeship at age 17. So far his career has taken him
from England to Perth Australia and back to Canada! Darren has been at Riverside now since February
2011, and has been the recipient of the CCFCC Chef of the Year award and he is currently the only two
time Gold Medal winner for the Gold Medal Plates competition in Saskatoon. He lives in Warman with his
wife Tanya, and his three children, Emilie, Jayden and Chloe.
Head Golf Professional Earl Scott
Earl was born in Yorkton and raised in Saskatoon, attending Bedford Road Collegiate prior to attending
Kelsey where he received a Journeyman Certificate in Vehicle Repair. A self-professed “car nut”, Earl made
a change to his career in 1985 and has never looked back. Voted one of the top 50 Instructors in Canada by
ScoreGolf Magazine, teaching has always been a passion for Earl, and he brought that passion to Riverside
in 2002. Throughout his career Earl has sought guidance from the likes of Michael Hebron, Mike Bender,
Pia Nillson and most recently Jim Hardy and Chris O’Connell of the Plane Truth, where he was one of the
few instructors to achieve level one certification.
Earl is proud to be on the Board of the AIM Program, which provides speech and reading skills for children with Down Syndrome and he and his wife Corinna have two wonderful children Kirk and Kaitlyn as
well as two dogs Sophie and Mindy.
Our Golf Shop
This hub of activity at the Club is located on the left (east) side of the Clubhouse. This is where members will check in before using the
practice facilities, and playing a game of golf.
Lessons: Riverside employs members of the Canadian Professional
Golfers Association in the Golf Shop. These professionals are trained
in teaching, club fitting, club repair and tournament operations. We
offer many different types of lessons, including group lessons, individual lessons, corporate outings, and computer assisted lessons. The staff
also offers a wide variety of junior lessons for those 5-18 years of age.
Practice Facilities: The practice range opens half an hour prior to
the first tee time, and closes Tuesday and Friday mornings for
maintenance (6:30am-9:00am). The range closes half an hour prior to sunset each day with the exception of Mondays and Thursdays when it closes earlier to pick range balls. Use of the practice
range and practice range balls are included in your Full Play
membership fees.
There is a 3-hole practice area left of the 9th & 13th holes that
allows members to work on their short game. The 3 greens give a
variety of shot options, and the bunkers will help you to hone
your special skills.
For those who want to work on their chipping and putting skills,
there are 2 practice greens near the Clubhouse.
Merchandise: The Club owns the golf shop; so member purchases
contribute to the success of the entire operation. Because we do not
solicit customers from outside our membership we are able to offer
our members and their guests very competitive prices. The club
stocks a wide range of top line golf equipment. One of the many services that are offered through the golf shop is the ability to purchase
special order items, and be able to make bulk purchases for business
and individuals. If we do not have an item in stock, we will do our
best to bring it in. One special feature in our golf shop is the opportunity for members to make “corporate purchases”. We have access
to an endless variety of items that can be made with your personal or
company logo on it!
Our Clubhouse
The Riverside Clubhouse is located up the stairs and down the hall. A popular spot for members to gather after a game of golf to relax
and enjoy the view, and also a space to accommodate your own private gatherings.
Special Dining Options
We offer a variety of dining options at the club, from
formal dining to casual lounge menu. Book a Chef’s
table, or coordinate your next meeting to be held in
one of our many private rooms. Are you looking for
something special, something out of the ordinary? All
you have to do is give us the idea and we will make it
happen!
Contact Chef Darren Craddock or Front House Manager Cody Getz and they will help facilitate all your
needs.
Explanation of the Food and Beverage Pre Paid Minimum
A Food and Beverage Minimum is charged to members at the beginning of each year when fees are invoiced. This
Food and Beverage Minimum guarantees revenue required for us to maintain quality standards in product and service.
All food and beverage purchases are tracked and deducted from your Food and Beverage Minimum. To ensure that
we have quality staff, and that all of our members receive the same level of service, a 15% gratuity is added to all food
and beverage services. The Food and Beverage Minimum includes this gratuity as well as taxes.
Kitchen
Love Riverside food? Well, you can take it home with
you as well! All we need is a little notice and your meal
will be wrapped and ready to go. Every year at thanksgiving we offer for our members to pre order pumpkin pies
to take home!
Functions
The Club can also be booked for many different types of
Member functions, as well as Guest Functions (as long as
there is a member sponsor involved in the planning and in
attendance at the event).

Our Course
Established in 1912, Riverside has long been known as Saskatchewan’s premier golf club.
Course designer and Scottish Golf
Professional William Kinnear used
the natural contours of the land to
create Riverside’s undulating fairways
and large bunkers, all reminiscent of
a Scottish style course.
The best that nature has to offer;
Riverside is a classic, a blend of traditional design with large mature trees
contributing to the parkland setting.
Riverside is a course that is fair and
straight forward, what you see is what
you get. The course has multiple tees
in order to accommodate golfers of
differing skills, from beginners to
professionals.
Riverside also boasts two of the best finishing holes in golf, making use of the flowing natural terrain, and vistas
of the South Saskatchewan river valley below.
Pride in the Game of Golf
Riverside Country Club has very proudly hosted a number of
national events including three Canadian Amateur Men’s
Championships, three Canadian Women’s Amateur Championships, two Senior Canadian Men’s Championships, a Canadian Mid-Amateur Championship, a Canadian Junior Men’s
Amateur Championship and both the 2008 Mike Weir Charity Golf Drive for Kids and the Graham DeLaet Charity Event
benefitting the Children’s Health and Hospital Foundation.
We are also the annual host for two of Saskatchewan’s most
prestigious golf and social events, The Saskatchewan Amateur
Team Championship and the Riverside Ladies’ Classic.
