About us
Quins Group Pty., Ltd.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Quins Group P/L designs and manufactures wooden toys, nursery
equipment and children furniture under the brand QTOYS. The philosophy underpinning QTOYS
is that playing with toys is the key process of early childhood development of personal values
and skills. QTOYS are designed to introduce values and skills that would contribute to future
success of the child. Hence the slogan of QTOYS is "Learning through Play”.
Over the years, focus on quality and educational values help QTOYS earn the trust and
confidence of parents and teachers. QTOYS is now recognized the Australian leading brand of
educational toys, teaching equipment and children's furniture.
Safety standards
QTOYS complies with highest safety standards for toys and children's furniture. Most of QTOYS
designs for children up to three years old have CE mark, which means that they are tested by
qualified testing organizations according to European safety standards for toys. QTOYS complies
with AS/NZS 8124 for toys and all relevant Australian and New Zealand standards for teaching
equipments and children's furniture.
Design team
Designers of QTOYS are teachers and industrial designers. We are proud that many of our
designers are teaching industrial designs or doing research into early childhood development in
leading research institutions in Australia.
Early attributes to the concept of QTOYS owe to Dr. Quan Nguyen and Cathy Dang, M.Ed. They
want QTOYS to be a popular method of early childhood education. The high quality of QTOYS
designs also owes to Liam Kelly, an industrial designer who lectures wooden designs at Royal
Melbourne Institute of Technology. Our design team blends the educational value of toys and
fun time for children with quality of timber design.
Quality
Craftsmanship still accounts for 80% of the production of each QTOYS. In QTOYS factory,
continuous training programs are run to prepare the next generation of QTOYS craftsmen and
craftswomen. Each QTOYS is therefore a craft. Craftsmanship leaves a long-lasting satisfaction in
children playing with QTOYS.
Fair trade practice
QTOYS products are crafted by highly skilled craftsmanship. QTOYS do not employ and exploit
unskilled labor in production lines in poorly equipped factories as sometimes reported in the
plastic toy industry. QTOYS ensure highly skilled workers who work with us a fair deal. QTOYS also
train disable children in Mekong Delta in Vietnam who want to become a craftsman or
craftswoman for life.
Eco-safe
QTOYS are made exclusively from plantation and/or recycled timber. Plantation rubber trees are
tapped for natural latex, and 25% of the world ‘s latex for rubber is from this region. Old, poor
producing trees are cleared to grow young ones. In the past, these trees have been left to decay,
creating biological problems. Plantation rubber trees give QTOYS products the natural beauty of
wooden patterns, while leaving natural forest unharmed.
Acacia timber is sourced only from plantations. These plantations are critical in re-establishing of
forests on degraded sites unsuitable for other agricultural uses. They are also a source of income
for many low income farmers.
Coconut tree have a short useful life and are replaced regularly. To date, little use has been found
for the timber, which has a beautiful texture. We have developed a “cottage “ industry to produce
expertly crafted toys, carefully handcrafted by our workers in the Mekong Delta, under our fair
trade payment scheme.”

Orders are dispatched every day. We use Fastway courier who, in our
discretion, is competitive in the market to deliver our products. If you want a
specific method of delivery or a specific courier to deliver your order, please
discuss with us.
Delivery is exclusive from the price. We retain ownership over products
delivered to you until payment is fully made.
Returns Policy
For clients within Victoria, we will replace defective or broken products
within a week from the date you inform us of a defective product. For
interstate clients, we will replace defective products in the next delivery to
you.
