Driving up prices at Dunedoo
XCELLENT quality plant and
machinery lots were well supported at a sale in the Central
West last month.

About 100 people looked over a
range of vehicles, furniture and farm
equipment at “Muriel Plains”,
Dunedoo, and prices on most items
were strong.
Good support from buyers who
travelled from Mudgee, Dubbo,
Gilgandra, Wellington, Scone and
Bathurst helped many items achieve
solid prices.

and 1649 hours on the clock, attracted much attention and sold for
$50,000.
Other items to sell well included a
1986-model Isuzu FSR table top
truck, which sold for $9600, a 2000model Holden Rodeo ute, with
99,000 kilometres on the clock,
which sold for $9000, and a
Grizzly S36 38-disc plough which
sold for $8750.
Meanwhile, an International 711
header sold for $4200.
Elders Dubbo agent, Richard
Gemmell, said the sale was a fitting
send off for vendor, Adrian Flipo and
family.
The Flipo family sold “Muriel
Plains” earlier this year.
The sale was conducted by Elders
Dubbo.

Jetstream bids soar up to $20,000
MORE than 800 people were not
deterred by muddy conditions at a
clearing sale in Young earlier this
month.
Buyers from Lake Cargelligo,
Tumut, Coolamon, Forbes, Bathurst
and the local area were mainly
attracted to the plant and machinery
lots at “Woodlands”, while a
complete dispersal of a Merino flock
enticed many people.
On the machinery front, a
Jetstream 604CD Mammoth mill
and mixer roller in very good
condition topped the sale, after bids
reached $20,000.
A John Shearer 606 32-plate offset
disc plough sold for $5000, a
Chamberlain 4480 tractor, with 6000
hours on the clock, sold for $7200
and a Bromar 36-bag three-bin
feeder, with auger and Honda
motor, sold for $8800.
The sheep which were on offer
were very popular with the 313
registered bidders, buoyed by

good lamb and mutton prices in
recent weeks.
A run of 207 2007-drop, Aprilshorn, Merryville-blood Merino
ewes sold for $162, while 335
mixed-sex 2009-drop lambs sold for
$96.
The “Woodlands” property was
sold earlier this year.
