The Cluster of la Indústria de l’Automoció de Catalunya is a non-profit association open to the
companies related to the automotive industry located in Catalonia with R&D activities.
The main objective of the association is to strengthen the competitiveness of the automotive
industry as the driving force of the Catalan economy. To achieve this, we have designed
a strategic plan with a series of short, medium and long term objectives, to ensure its
development in the new global industrial sector.

Comforsa is a large group of factories focused in forging and machining items (crankshafts,
spindles, spiders, hubs, axles, etc.) for the heavy-duty vehicles, marine sector, agriculture, etc.
We export more of 90% of our production worldwide, having our sales offices in Barcelona,
agents all over the world and our head offices in Campdevànol, Girona (120 km north
Barcelona). We have four plants to produce all our range of products.

Kern Pharma is a privately owned pharmaceutical company founded in 1999 that belongs to
Indukern group. It develops, manufactures and commercialised pharmaceutical finish dosage
form products. Besides, the company has a chemical plant specialised in the production of
fentanyl derivative Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Kern Pharma is one of the leading
generic companies in the Spanish market and has an ambitious plan to grow internationally
either through own affiliates (Portugal, Russia, Venezuela, Colombia…) or through strategic
agreements with local partners.

Kern Pharma produces finish dosage form
(FDF) products and specialized APIs (Fentanyl
derivative) and provides medicines to a large
number of countries around the world. All the
products have been manufactured following
the European GMPs. The range of products
covers all main therapeutic areas.
The services provided are Pharmaceutical
production, with different formulations, like
solids ( tablets, capsules, sachets), liquids
( vials, oral ampoules), Semi-solid (creams,
gels), Development, pharmaceutical
and analytical methods and Chemical

Currently we are in the process of registering
our chemical manufacturing plant in both

of the company was a Pharmacy specialized in the production of prescription medicines.
Nowadays, 40% of our staff hold an University degree. It is managed by the second
generation.

Lebsa exports around 90% of its production
to the global generics market. We are present
