Rotary Seedsticks:
Client
Rotary International required a revenue raising tool that would work
globally, reflect their campaign ‘Sow the Seeds of Love’, have a low unit
cost, yet represent great value for money.
Solution
‘Love Seeds’ were then developed as a fun and simple fundraising tool. The idea being that the
Seedsticks contained actual Nigella seeds (commonly known as Love in the Mist). They were
supplied in a stylish retail display case. The concept being if each Rotarian sold one box of love,
Polio could be gone forever. The same time the world would be a cleaner brighter place! ‘Love
seeds’ are being supplied to over 6 countries around the world.

B
SIDS Tomato Seedsticks:
Brief
SIDS and Kids required an additional fundraising product
Solution
Our distributor developed Cherry Tomatoes as a fun and simple fundraising tool that had synergy
with the existing Red Nose Day campaign - the idea being that people grow their own Red Noses!
They were sold throughout Australia, in stylish retail display cases and were a very successful
(and profitable) addition to the overall awareness campaign.

B
The University of Melbourne - Institute of Land and Food Resources
Brief
The institute of Land and Food Resources wanted an item that was ‘easy to send, yet memorable’
to promote their exciting courses and campus guides to potential new students, people considering
careers in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, food science and resource management. They wanted
a combination of seeds that would coincide with Spring and the VTAC application dates. They
also wanted to tie in their ‘frog’ logo - because frogs are an indicator species representing how
healthy the environment is.
Solution
Easy growing seeds like Basil and Tomato were supplied which appealed to a mostly younger
age group. Also a quirky cover design was used incorporating the ‘frog’
and the line “Land an exciting job grown from one of our courses”.
The Institute was very happy with the finished product which was
received extremely well by their target audience.

City West Water
Brief
CWW wanted a promotional item to thank their customers for raising concerns on water
restrictions. They wanted an item that was 100% environmentally friendly and had synergy with
promoting sustainable ideas. They also wanted to encourage indigenous gardens and display
their commitment to the environment and sustainability.
Solution
A Lemon Scented Bottlebrush seed was supplied which is indigenous to Victoria and is ideal for
planting in salty soils thereby reducing soil erosion and improving water flow. It is also a plant
that attracts native birds. A striking cover with images of the Bottlebrush,
CWW logo and the line ‘Plant today for tomorrow - We’re committed
to the community and the environment’ was produced.

That year, at the 46th annual Awards, an

The PPAI Golden Pyramid Awards competition

program illustrates, there is no limit to the
application of a promotional products
program.”
Every year this international event receives
thousands of entries from around the world,
but this was the first time a non-U.S. company
had won.
