Family DO-JO
begins Wednesday June 15, at 7:00 PM. DoJo is
Japanese for "the way" and "home of the way". We will have a Family
Friendly Bible Class each week with teachings from the Sermon on
the Mount!
Parents are encouraged to attend class with their
children. We will meet in the Teen Center for worship and the Bible
lesson. Then, we will break off into specific application activities! The Children's and Youth Ministry are working together to
create a wonderful experience for your family this summer!

YOU ARE INVITED – to the India Discipleship Network (IDN) Appreciation/
Benefit Dinner at 6:30 pm on Thursday June 16, 2016 at the Dallas Athletic Club. The

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST - Friday, June 17, at 6:00 AM in the Family Center
49ER’S FELLOWSHIP - Our monthly 49er’s Fellowship is Friday, June 17, at 6:30 PM
in the Family Center. Our hosts for the evening will be Laurel Blackburn and Larry
and Bobbie Marshall. We would love for you to come be a part of the fun. Food
will be Pot Luck. Following dinner, you will have the opportunity to play games or visit
with friends. Remember guests are ALWAYS welcome! Your cost will be $1 each.

100TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION - Everyone is invited to celebrate the 100th
birthday of Mildred Wilkerson, mother of Barbara Luster, on Sunday, June 26, from
1:30 to 3:00 PM in the Family Center. No gifts, please. If you are unable to attend,
cards would be welcomed at Mildred Wilkerson, 416 Sugarberry Lane, Rockwall, TX
75087.
CDL DRIVERS NEEDED - CDL drivers are needed to transport the ladies to and from
Nexus to Saturn Road on the following dates: June 26, and July 3 and 10. If you can
help on these dates, or if you are interested in serving as a “back-up” driver when
needed, please call Clark Welch at (972) 979-8053.
ENCHILADA PLATE FUNDRAISER - The fundraiser is cancelled due to unforeseen
circumstances. We apologize for the inconvenience.

SHUT IN MINISTRY - Saturn Road has volunteers who take the Lords Supper to
members who cannot attend church. If you know anyone that would benefit from this

Kids RoadMaP - July 29-30 for 3rd-5th Grades. Please check your email for all the details and
registration information! We need several chaperones for this event so please let us know if
you are available.
VBS – June 26-29 – “Joshua – Strong & Courageous”

RECENTLY BAPTIZED

BIRTH
Congratulations to Erin & Dylan Jordan on the birth of their son, Grayson James, who was
born 6 weeks early on June 7th. Grayson weighed 3 lbs., 11 oz. He will stay in the NICU at
Lakepointe Hospital until he gains more weight. Proud relatives include grandparents, David &
Tracy Young, great grandparents, Tom & Eva Traylor, great, great aunt, Tollea
McMellon, and great aunt & uncle, Teena & Tim Hancock.
SYMPATHY
Our sympathy is extended to Sarah Rich and her family on the death of her husband, Jonathan
Rich, Joanne Rich on the death of her son, Michael Guthrie and Lisha Patterson on the
loss of their cousin. Funeral services were June 10.
Our sympathy is extended to Pat and Randy Smith and their family on the death of Pat's
mother, Betty Smith. Funeral services were on June 10 in Irving. Our sympathy is extended to Steve and Annette Nesbitt in the loss of their daughter and to
Alan Nesbitt in the loss of his sister, Carla Nesbitt Webb, who passed away on June 6.
The memorial service was held on June 10 in Searcy, AR.
SECRET PRAYER SISTERS
The final revealing party for the Spring session of Secret Prayer Sisters will be held on
Tuesday June 21, at 7:00 PM at the home of Sharon Campbell. Please bring your final gift
and a salad and/or dessert. If you are unable to attend the party, please make arrangements
to get your final gift to the party. If you have any questions, please contact Sandy Hendrix.
