Timsbury. The village itself lies approximately 7 miles south of the Georgian
City of Bath with its range of educational and cultural facilities. Timsbury is
within approximately 10 minutes walk using public footpaths and has a range
of amenities including post office, general stores, chemist, primary school,
church, doctors, coffee shop and public house. There is a regular bus service
through the village and for those wishing to commute to the Cities of Bristol
and Bath access by road is extremely good.
Description
Somerset Cottage originally dates back to the 1790s and the current owners
have lived here for 35 years, extending the property in 1985. They also
purchased the adjoining cottage several years later and created a substantial
family home that has the flexibility to be divided for dual family use or to be
separated entirely to provide an additional income. There are numerous light
and airy reception rooms and a large kitchen/dining room that is perfect for
modern day family living. There are up to six generously sized bedrooms,
some with beautiful far-reaching views and three first floor bathrooms.
The gardens are sensational and measure in excess of an acre. It is a
wonderful environment for a family which is predominantly laid to level lawn
with some beautiful borders, fruit trees, formal patio areas for dining and a
natural meadow. The views from the house and gardens are breathtaking
and take in a panorama of the surrounding rolling Somerset countryside.
Somerset Cottage is situated at the end of the lane offering privacy without
isolation and has a particularly welcoming vehicular entrance with a large
driveway with plenty of parking, a double garage and workshop.

Services include: Separate septic tank drainage system for Main house
and Cottage, own supply of mains water, oil fired central heating and mains
electricity with two meters.
