EXCELLON 689
“Since the Beginning, Defining the Future”
FULL RANGE, HIGH-SPEED SPINDLES
LARGE PANEL OPTION 42” X 30”
DEPENDABLE CNC7 SOFTWARE
EASY MAINTENANCE DESIGN
The all-inclusive drilling solution for your high-tech production needs
Excellon 689
Excellon 689 offers great value with an all-inclusive
package of high-tech features combined with simple,
reliable machine operation and easy maintenance.
High Performance and Throughput
Excellon 689 is equipped with all features that ensure
great accuracy and high throughput. This includes
linear rails for repeatable and accurate positioning,
proven AC servos for high acceleration rates and axis
speeds as well as direct-drive Z-axis motors to
diminish backlash and provide high feed rates.
High-Torque, High-Speed Spindles
The Excellon 689 is designed with full range, highspeed spindles to cover the full spectrum of your
drilling needs from large diameters down to
microvias. High-torque benefits efficient drilling of
large hole diameters, while high spindle speeds result
in improved hole wall quality and higher productivity
when drilling small hole diameters and microvias.
Large Panel Option
Large panels are often only a small part of the
production volume that doesn’t justify a dedicated
machine. Therefore, we offer large panel drilling
capacity as a software feature. Excellon 689 can
handle three panels of up to 42” x 30” simultaneously.
Secure and Reliable Operation
The dependable Excellon CNC7 PC operator
interface ensures that all features of the Excellon 689
can be easily accessed and handled.
Easy Maintenance
An ingenious and exciting new feature is the
convenient, easy-to-access drawer – housing all
electrical components. Easy access and modular
design make maintenance of the Excellon 689 easier
than ever.
Excellon worldwide service and support
No one else in the industry – in the U.S.A. or in the
world – staffs a more comprehensive service
organization. All Excellon equipment, from drillers to
routers to automation, is backed by our extensive
service and support organization. Whether it be
application process engineering or operator training,
installation or trouble shooting, spare parts or
machine maintenance, phone consultation or inperson field support, Excellon Is the company you
can count on.
