Aldi, Maidstone
A new Aldi store has recently been constructed, using Kentish Ragstone cladding
supplied by Hermitage Quarry. The store is opposite Maidstone Prison, hence the
planner’s desire for the Aldi store to fit in with its surroundings.
Regeneration of Mote Park, Maidstone
The recently completed regeneration of Mote Park included the installation of various
Kentish Ragstone features.
Primary Saw at Hermitage Quarry
A Van Voorden primary saw with a 3m diameter blade has been installed at Hermitage
Quarry. This enables ‘sawn six sides’ stone to be supplied. The ‘waste’ arising at
Hermitage Quarry is put into the aggregate process.
