In heating mode, the Watt
Restrictor measures the
temperature of air leaving
the indoor coil. One example, when the temperature
is 85° F (29° C) or greater,
unnecessary heating elements are disengaged to
save energy. Only when the
temperature is below 75° F
(23° C) are all heating
elements fully engaged.
