"The Spy Who Killed Me" - March 28, 2015 (Saturday)
Looking for something fun after the long Iowa winter? Join JH Travel for a fun Saturday with a later morning
departure and an early evening arrival back to Newton.
The Old Creamery is presenting a comedy . . no wait . . . a murder.. . no wait . . mystery??? Yes, you heard
right! This is a new show that is a comedy, murder, mystery and a dinner theatre! We will travel to The Clarion
Hotel and Convention Center in Cedar Rapids where our meal will be served in between the acts during the
show!
Ok, our story begins . . When secret agent Jacob Seal gets an urgent call from his Agency, this comic murder
mystery is off to a running start! When faced with henchman, double agents, and a chicken pluckers'
convention, will Seal be able to find Dr. Doom and stop his evil plan before it's too late? Your mission should
you choose to accept it, is to join us for hilarious antics and great food, while you help us catch a criminal
master mind.
On our way back to Newton a quick stop will be made at a fast food location if you wish to pick up something
(on your own).

"The Fabulous 50's" - April 12, 2015 (Sunday)
Join JH Travel for our first visit to the Holland Performing Arts in Omaha for a matinee show entitled "The
Fabulous 50's: Elvis, Doo-wop, and TV's Hit Parade". Heed the call of doo-wop, ducktails and saddle shoes!
With your favorite songs from the malt shop, television shows, and Elvis Presley, you will want to rock around
the clock! You will hear hits from the decade of the 50's, songs from TV shows as in I Love Lucy, Donna Reed
Show and your favorite game shows and your very favorite love songs! Prior to this matinee show a visit to the
Jocelyn Art Museum for lunch and free time to check out the many exhibits shown in this Art Deco building
built in 1931.After the show on our way back to Newton we will stop and have a fast food break (on your own).

"Wine Trail Weekend" - April 18 - 19, 2015 (Saturday - Sunday)

Join JH Travel on a relaxing spring weekend getaway to enjoy wine, food, awesome accommodations at The
Elms and the opportunity to meet new friends! Looking forward to having you join JH Travel for a wonderful
wine weekend getaway!
We will begin by boarding a Hawkeye Stages motor coach and travel onto the only Iowa winery on our
itinerary which is Two Saints Winery by St. Charles. Upon arrival a morning snack of croissants & jam will be
shared before a tour & tasting of their wines. In Osborn, MO a visit to Windy Wine Co for wine tasting and
also checking out their new Microbrewery. Lunch will be next at the Willow Spring Mercantile at their Bistro
in Excelsior Springs, MO which also has over 300 Missouri wines available along with several beer choices and
there is retail shopping therapy available. A little shopping time before going to the hotel in historic downtown
Excelsior Springs with art studios, home decor and many neat, unique type stores. Upon arrival at The Elms
Hotel located in Excelsior Springs - prepare to be pampered at this upscale hotel as you will enjoy your stay at
this grand hotel! A very relaxing evening awaits our group at the Van Till Family Winery with a garden fresh
salad, wood fired cheesy bread sticks, and Artisan Gourmet wood-fired oven pizzas with a wine tasting prior to
our meal. And, back to hotel for a night of peaceful rest!
The next morning you will be a guest at 88 at The Elms for a wonderful breakfast buffet all the while enjoying
the warm and unfussy ambiance of the restaurant. Time to depart! Our first winery to visit is Ladoga Winery
located in the rolling hills of Smithville, MO., a beautiful area to escape for a wine tasting and tour. Over the
hills and around the bend our coach will find the Jowler Creek Winery which is also a family owned winery and
produces award winning wines. Our travelers are in for a special treat as our lunch will be served in the very
historic Weston Brewing Company in Weston, MO. A choice of three main entrees will be given along with
dessert and be sure to check out the underground cellars where evening entertainment is provided. The next
winery on our itinerary is located in a former Lutheran Evangelical Church that was built by German
immigrants in 1867 which is the Pirtle Winery in Weston, MO. Our last winery, Riverwood Winery, is located
in a former school and surrounded by the Missouri River Bluffs. It is now time to begin our journey back to
Newton with a fast food stop (on your own) along the way.
Tour includes: motor coach transportation, overnight accommodations at The Elms Hotel, 4 meals (1 buffet
breakfast, two lunches and one dinner) & 1 morning snack, all taxes and gratuities on the above mentioned

"The Matchmaker" - April 30, 2015 (Thursday)
Get ready for an afternoon of comedy at the Old Creamery Theatre in Amana followed by a wonderful meal
served at the English Valley Bed & Breakfast! In this romantic comedy, a cheap storeowner refuses to let his
niece marry the poor artist she has fallen in love with. All the while the storeowner plans to remarry with the
assistance of Dolly Levi, the Matchmaker played by Marquetta Senters, who pretends to help the storeowner
find a bride but she schemes to marry him herself and she works to help the young lovers.
After this comedy production an evening meal will be served at the English Valley Bed & Breakfast in rural
Montezuma. Don't miss this comedy show followed by a scrumptious meal!

An early morning departure traveling to Hornbaker Gardens in Princeton, Illinois where we will have free time
with a box lunch (included) delivered to the gardens. Hornbaker Gardens is well known for the vast amount of
hostas (over 500), daylilies, ornamental grasses along with trees & shrubs, hundreds of perennials and annuals.
Our next stop is at Wallace Garden Center in Bettendorf, IA where a vast amount of annuals & perennials,
home decor & gifts, furniture, backyard bird center, trees, shrubs, roses and herbs can be found.

"The Lion King" - May 14, 2015 - **Currently full with a waiting list
Experience the phenomenon of Disney's THE LION KING with JH Travel for this matinee show at the Des
Moines Performing Arts! Thrill to the pulsating rhythms of the of the African Pridelands and an unforgettable
score including Elton John and Tim Rice's song "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" and "Circle of Life".
Prior to the show lunch will be served at The Latin King with three choices of main entree and explanations
following the choices: Chicken Spiedini (boneless breasts of chicken skewered and marinated and rolled in
Italian breadcrumbs and charbroiled. Served with Amogio sauce.) - Spaghetti & Meatballs (an old time favorite
for over 40 years) - Manicotti al Forno (homemade pasta filled with ricotta and mozzarella). Each meal is

"Gardens, Greenhouses & Gifts" - May 27 - 29 or June 3 - 5, 2015

An early morning departure traveling north finds our first stop at The Lady Bug Market Place in Clear Lake, IA
where we find a greenhouse, bistro and bakery. Before departing be sure to take coffee or tea to enjoy as we
travel along with a breakfast sandwich on our way to Hill's Garden in Albert Lea, MN. A fourth generation
owner will give the program on "Annuals & Hanging Baskets". The Hilltop Greenhouse & Farm in Ellendale,
MN will share a program on "Great Standbys" as they are known in the community for many of the plants they
offer. In Owatonna, MN we visit Turtle Creek Nursery & Landscaping where our program will be on "Herb
Growing & Cooking" . While everyone is checking out the greenhouse Subway will deliver lunch to the motor
coach to be enjoyed on the way to Mankato, MN where we visit Hilltop Florist & Greenhouse. The program
will be "Planting Your Patio Containers". Traveling on to Lester Prairie, MN a very special program will be
shared on "Producing Our Plants" which will show us the procedure from planting the seed to a finished plant
that would be purchased at Flower Power Garden Center. All aboard to enjoy our evening meal at D'Vinci's
and our overnight accommodation will be at AmericInn at Waconia, MN.
Rise and shine! We have a full day of greenhouses & nurseries, garden art, and gift shops to check out! After
our breakfast at the hotel we visit The Flower Farm for a program on "Succulents" located by Delano, MN. We
travel to Brooklyn Center, MN to Malmborg's Garden Center before traveling to Bachman's which is located in
Minneapolis, MN where we will have a catered lunch by Patrick's Bakery followed by time to shop. Our hands
on project this year will be either a succulent bowl or a fairy garden (project needs to be chosen at the time of
sign up) which will be made at our next stop where owner Liz will greet us at Constant Color Perennials in New
Richmond, WI. You will love the funky garden art at our next stop which is Garden Divas along with rugs that
are made with recycled liter pop bottles and pot ware. Sit back and relax at Luigi's Pizza in River Falls, MN for
our evening meal before a restful night of sleep at AmericInn in Baldwin, WI.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we depart for Gertens in Inver Grove Heights, MN where a program awaits
us entitled "Edible Container Gardening". Our next stop is at Farmington Greenhouse where our program will
be on "Unique Plants" which is located in Farmington, MN. Lunch will be served with a choice of three main
entree's in The Tavern which is located in the historic Archer House River Inn which offers a small town
atmosphere. Our last greenhouse that will be visited is Knecht's Nurseries and Landscaping in Northfield, MN
with the program being on a new type plant container entitled "Air Pruning Containers". A fast food stop along
our journey back to Newton with great memories of our "Gardens, Greenhouses & Gifts" trip for 2015! On the
way home a decision will be made as to where our trip goes in 2016!

"The Andrews Brothers" - June 10, 2015 (Wednesday)
Join JH Travel for this Old Creamery Theatre production that begins with a USO show that is threatened with
cancellation when a certain famous trio of singing sisters fails to appear, and it's up to the three earnest and
determined stagehands to go on with the show! Mistaken identities and madcap adventure along with the music
of an entire generation highlight this wonderful valentine to the heroes of World War II. Following this
production we will travel to the Coffee Cup Cafe in Sully, IA for a home cooked "yummy" meal! And, of
course . . pie! Be sure to sign up for this matinee production in our premium seating at the Old Creamery
Theatre!

"Tractors, Tractors & More Tractors" - June 25, 2015 (Thursday)
This trip is a day to learn about Iowa's many hidden treasures! Beginning with the John Deere Tractor
Assembly Plant in Waterloo. The plant assembles 95 to 450 horsepower tractors in one of the most
environmentally sound production facilities in North America. We will begin with a 15 minute video on the
history of John Deere and ride on a trolley through the manufacturing plant. This is wonderful, easy tour which
has been recently changed. (No open-toe shoes, cameras or cell phones allowed). A buffet lunch will be eaten
at River Loop Public Market Cafe followed by a visit to the John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum which has
just recently opened. This new museum tells the story behind the development of engines and tractors and why
the John Deere Company came to Waterloo. Hear the stories of men and women who have worked at John
Deere and how they have contributed to the evolution of the tractor.
We then travel to Dunkerton, Iowa to see a collection of the finest antique & vintage tractors, steam engines and
gasoline engines in the Midwest owned by Kenny Kass. His collection is one of the top five in the United
States which includes prairie tractors from the turn of the century, Aultman-Taylor, Russell and the rare Rumely
Oil Pull Tractors. An additional building houses collections of old clocks, calendars, farm & kitchen tools. He
is excited to share his collection with our travelers! Our evening meal will be served at Barn Happy which is a
1925 renovated dairy barn decorated with Iowa handmade gifts and made in Iowa food products. The upstairs
houses antiques that complete the nostalgic Iowa experience!

"Kickin' It Country - Celebration Belle" - July 30, 2015 (Thursday)
Join JH Travel for this cruise performing great country hits along with your favorites from the 50's to the
present time! Be sure to wear your best "Bib & Tucker" as our theme for the day is "Let's Go Western"! It will
be Nashville on the river with these familiar songs played "Folsom Prison Blues", "Crazy", "Hey Good
Lookin'", "Ring of Fire" and "Boot Scootin' Boogie" just to name a few! Don't forget to bring along your
dancing shoes because you will be dancing, clapping and singing along to your favorites! Might even be some
line dancing! Y'all sign up now, ya hear!!!
Once we begin our cruise those "yummy" sticky rolls will be served and before long their wonderful buffet will
be laid out for lunch. After we disembark the Celebration Belle our Hawkeye Stages coach will be awaiting and
our theme continues at our evening meal at The Coffee Cup Cafe in Sully, Iowa for brisket, potato salad, baked
beans, bread, and of course. . . their home made pie!! We can reminisce even more as we enjoy our "country

"Shear Madness" - August 5, 2015 (Wednesday)
The Old Creamery Theatre invites us to this unique comic-whodunit which takes place today in the "Shear
Madness" hairstyling salon. During the course of the action, a murder is committed and the audience gets to
spot the clues, question the suspects, and solve the funniest mystery seen on stage. The outcome is never the
same, which is why many audience members return again and again to the scene of the mayhem.
This is a matinee show with our premium seating which will be followed with an evening meal at the
Ronnenburg Restaurant located downtown Amana with all of favorite fixings'! Bring your detective solving
abilities and get ready for a great time!

"Tea Room Trip" - August 11, 2015 (Tuesday)

Ladies! Join JH Travel for a fun-filled day of discovering, eating "yummy" food and meeting new friends!
Our day begins with brunch at Mrs T's Mercantile & Tea Room at Vincent where we will be greeted with egg
casserole, muffins, fruit and a very interesting story about the Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus! This
unique tea room houses a quilt shop in the front of the store and a tea room with a wooden facade in the back
where our brunch will be served. A hands-on project will follow (I promise it is much easier than last year's)
that will be fun to make! We will then depart to travel to Tea Thyme at Sadie's in Ft. Dodge where we will have
a style show and a display of perfect accessories for your fall wardrobe! Quick hints on changing from summer
to fall decorating will follow. Lunch will be served followed by some "retail therapy" before traveling to the
Community Orchard outside of Ft. Dodge. Although early in the fall harvest of apples we can watch the
machine that peels 80 apples at a time, a tour displaying the making of apple cider and visit the bakery as well
as time to visit the gift shop. We then travel onto Jefferson for some free time and our evening meal at Angie's
Tea Garden before returning back to Newton.

show (JH Travelers - exclusively) at the Missouri Star Quilt Co Retreat Center with Jenny Doan! The Missouri
Star has become the biggest quilting YouTube channel and has grown to offer the largest selection of pre-cut
fabrics in the world. Hope to have you join us!

October 2 & 9, 2015 - "Back Roads Amish Tour" - In May, 2014 we offered a trip to Oelwein and it was
wonderful! Everyone requested a fall trip to this same area and due to the popularity of the trip & the number of
signups already we have added a second trip date! Don't wait too long to sign up as we are limited to 35
travelers each day!

Jonah!, Brett Family Christmas Show, Billy Dean, Hughes Brothers and Country Barn to buy FUDGE! Also,
included is a Christmas light tour of Shepherd of the Hills and a stop at Cakes-N-Creams Diner & Desserts for a
late night visit (on your own). And, all the fun along the way! Reservations have begun!
December 2, 2015 - "Nuncrackers" - Reverend Mother and her crew will provide plenty of Christmas music
and lots of laughs for the matinee show at the Old Creamery Theatre. The show will be followed by an evening
meal at the Ronnenburg Restaurant.
December, 2015 - "Holiday Grande 2015" - We already have 40 on a list for the show in 2015 - so if you are
interested in joining us please let me know! A final show date has not been determined.
February 29 - March 15, 2016 - "Panama Canal" - Join JH Travel as we travel the new canals and marvel
at this new creation that handles thousands of ships! Detailed information coming soon!

This Amish Country Adventure encompasses the cultures in Northern Indiana
and Central Ohio featuring personal experiences, great food and interesting
attractions. Add to that an Irish Experience, a mega Dairy Farm, special fun at
the Zoo and some history on air flight.

Board your deluxe motorcoach this morning for the journey
Columbus Zoo, Irish Treats
that will take you across some of America’s Amish Backroads.
Your first destination is Northern Indiana and a two-night stay
in Middlebury. Lunch and break stops will be along the way,
but your evening meal will be Dinner with the Chef at nearby
Goshen College. (D)
Day # 2 – September 16
Amish Country Tour
After an included breakfast at the hotel, you are in for a full
day of touring. Your Amish guide will take you along the
Backroads of Northern Indiana. Learn about this unique
culture and its people and visit a carriage maker, a camel
farm, a casket maker and the Stone Horses. You will also
have time for shopping and lunch on your own at the famous
Shipshewana Flea Market. Whatever you need, you can find
it here. Tonight you are in for a treat as you will be the guests
of an Amish family for dinner in their home.(B,D)
Day # 3 – September 17
Jayco Tour, Ohio Mystery
Breakfast is again served up for you at the hotel before
departing for a morning tour of the Jayco Manufacturing
Company in Middlebury, well known for their campers, travel
trailers and fifth wheels. Following the tour, you travel into
the state of Ohio for a two-night stay in the capital city of
Columbus. Tonight you have a specially arranged afterhours tour of the Ohio History Museum followed by Dinner
and a “WhoDunit” Mystery Show at the Museum. (B,DS)
Wake up in Columbus and enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Next you have admission to the Columbus Zoo and a special
presentation by America’s Favorite Zookeeper, Jack Hanna.
You will also have time to talk with him and take photos.
There will be free time to enjoy the many wonderful exhibits
at the Zoo as well as lunch on your own here. This afternoon,
travel to the nearby city of Dublin for some Irish treats, starting
with High Tea at Birdie’s Coach House. You will then have the
chance to take part in some Irish Dance Lessons at RichensTimm Academy of Irish Dance. Before leaving Dublin, enjoy
dinner with an Irish flavor at the Irish Manor House. Overnight

Day # 5 – September 19
Ohio Amish Country
You can partake of breakfast at the hotel before boarding
the coach for a drive eastbound into Ohio Amish Country.
Your first stop will be Warther Carvings in Dover, Ohio. See
the exquisite train carvings, the Tree of Pliers plus a Swiss style
gardens and a button collection totaling more than 73,000
pieces. A local guide will join us for a Backroads Tour of Ohio
Amish Country that will include stops at a Bakery, a Cuckoo
Clock Maker and the very unique Superb Industries.Tonight
you will be treated to an Amish Family Style Dinner and an
Amish Country Comedy Barn Show before overnighting in

German Village and lunch on your own at Schmidt’s German
Restaurant. Return to the Lab to pick up your candle then
travel west to Dayton, Ohio. Here we stop for overnight
accommodations and a visit to the Aviation Heritage
National Park where you can see the 1905 Wright Flyer III and
a Memorial to the Wright Brothers. After checking into the
hotel, you travel a short distance south to enjoy dinner and
a Broadway- style show at the La Comedia Dinner Theatre.

Day # 7 – September 21
U.S. Air Force Museum
As expected, breakfast will be served for you this morning
and before we leave the Dayton area, we will take you to the
National Museum of the United States Air Force. It features
more than 360 aerospace vehicles and missiles that reflect
the development of aviation from the Wright Brothers to the
present. We then leave Ohio and travel into Indiana and
a stop in Lafayette. Before checking into the hotel, we will
take you to West Lafayette on a guided tour of the campus
of Purdue University, one of the nation’s leading research
institutions and a member of the Big Ten Athletic Conference.
The remainder of your evening will be at leisure. (B)
Day # 8 – September 22
Fair Oaks Dairy
Your final day of this very special travel experience begins
with breakfast at the hotel. Travel a short distance north to
Fair Oaks, Indiana and a stop at the Fair Oaks Dairy. Home to
32,000 cows, the Fair Oaks Dairy adventure includes a guided
tour, interactive exhibits and a wonderful Visitors Center. See
the birthing barn and the cheese factory. From here you
travel home, arriving late afternoon with lunch and a break
stop on your own along the way. (B)

Payment/Cancellation & Refund Policy:
• $100.00 per person deposit due with reservation
• Balance of payment due on or before August 1, 2015
• Cancellations received on or before August 1, 2015 will receive
a full refund
• Cancellations received after August 1, 2015 and prior to August
15, 2015 will be assessed a $100.00 per person cancellation fee
• Cancellations received after August 15, 2015 and prior to
September 1, 2015 will be assessed 50% of the per person tour
price
• Cancellations received after September 1, 2015 will forfeit the
entire tour price
Travel Protection Plan is available and strongly recommended.
Premium is non-refundable unless the entire tour is cancelled. Any
surcharges and/or tax increases received from suppliers for this
package (Airlines, Cruise Companies, Hotels, etc.) may result in an
increase in the per person price of your tour package. For those
individuals who have purchased the Travel Protection Plan, this may
also result in an increase in your Travel Protection Plan premium.
